Expert 626 Las Vegas, NV | Subject: RE: Wet and Wild If anyone needs some, feel free to also look at mine. Just cut the qty on some sets, and adjust. I'm happy with it. Let's try to get everyone up on the requirements, here, we have a few people really hurting. Let's pull it all together as a team. We are a Team and a group of friends. I know we sat for this challenge so we could improve our swim times, so let's get this winter base built. I know you can all do it. Go Team Wet and Wild. Let's show everyone else how Wild we can be by coming from almost dead last to the front of the pack. Many athletes did those performances last year, so I know you can all do it. |

Extreme Veteran 393 Columbia, South Carolina | Subject: RE: Wet and Wild Hi everyone! Crazy crazy week for me but all is good now (huge thanks to everyone who stopped by my log and left an inspire at any point this past week - your thoughts and prayers were really what kept me going!). AND I got back in the pool this morning for 1200 more yards, which puts me at 56.67% of my goal. But I'm not done yet - I will get at least one more swim in before the end of the weekend. Keep on swimmin!! |

Extreme Veteran 504 Tucson, AZ | Subject: RE: Wet and Wild Had a very challenging week. I am four weeks from a marathon and even that got crunched. To get even an hour done I stuffed one in today. I hope to add another tomorrow. My friend Eric mentioned this breathing both ways in one of his notes to me. Well, that must take practice. I could not even get my face out of the water on the opposite side. Back to doing 50s with breaks. Thanks for all the notes. I fly to Ohio next Saturday to it is this week or trouble. With work closed Monday I hope to get in another tomorrow... You guys are a real inspiration. In March of '05 I could not finish a 5K. Today I do marathons... Somehow I could see that, I am having a harder time with the swimming. But, I know it all comes down to one thing... TIME. |

Today I do marathons... To me, that's an inspiration!! There is a bit more to the story. I "ballooned up" after cancer and looked at my wife learning to walk, read, write and face life again after a massive stroke and decided I was an a$$ for not being my best the rest of my life. We each were given a second chance and there was no squandering it. I have not had a soft drink or order of fries since 3/30/05. I cannot be the man I want to be for all those who depend on me if I am not my best. Running came naturally, biking comes naturally, swimming is a real challenge. I have great respect and admiration for all of you who do it so well... |

CONGRATULATIONS to Who's Your Marmadaddy? This is the second week in a row that they've had the top ranking! BUT remember that this is only the THIRD week of the challenge! January is only 64.5% completed. And some of the teams are REALLY close to one another! There's still time to help your team achieve that #1 ranking! So get out there and Swim/Bike/Run!... And then Swim/Bike/Run some more! Dee and Beth |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Wet and Wild Important Challenge Announcement: This is a team challenge, so Beth and I have decided to offer you extra incentive to help your team. Some participants are dealing with illness, injury, or just "life in general." And we know you want your team to do well, so: You may now achieve 120% of your goal! Up to 120% of each person's progress will be counted in your team's percentages. (Yes, we know that some of you have raised your goals. It's your choice whether to try to achieve 120% based upon your original goal, or your new one.) The team with the highest percentage will WIN the Challenge. Any team that achieves 100% (or more), will also be declared a winner, and get to display the "Winner" signature line. We hope this provides a little incentive for you to get out there and SWIM, BIKE or RUN! Dee and Beth |

Me too! I'll be heading to the pool this morning and will then be at 100%, so the rest of my swim workouts for the month will be over.
