LMAO - how does the American version compare to the original?

Most of the rest of the "Import" shoes are total rubbish. (The Office, Coupling,What not to Wear, Graham Norton etc.) I liked the old Iron Chef and Love Iron Chef America.

They have some high powered chefs on the IronChef side and that attracts a lot of great challengers. I was pretty stoked when the brought back Masaharu Morimoto from the original series.

Cool I know we had it on here for awhile... the American version but I didnt get a chance to watch it and it didnt get the ratings so it was pulled....

I hear they are making an American version of Kath & Kim - I have NO idea how thats going to translate... I guess they might change them into whatever the local version of white suburb stereotypes are...

Yeah, it seems like the bits that make a show really brilliant get lost in translation when they try to import it here

Graham Norton was the most interesting. His show was way over the top on BBC but when they tried to clean him up and bring him here, it sorta sucked because he just looked like a 3 year old who had been put in the corner and told to behave.

The really interesting part was that many of his guests (On the BBC Version) were American Celebs who really did not get most of his randy humor. I think that is part of what made it so funny to watch. (William Shatner seemed totally clueless that everyone was having a laugh at his expense)

Hey, "Flight of the Conchords" is a big hit here

Really? I used to work with Jermaine in radio in New Zealand... for a little while before he disappeared off to focus 100% on his comedy...

I always loved their live show! I have only seen a few minutes of the tv show!

I was planning on running today, but I did a short ride on the trainer instead.  Did 20 minutes, so I'm now at 20% for the challenge.

I'm afraid the doona won the fight this morning and I missed my spin class. So I did a strength session and then a very sluggish run. Someone(Mesteren!?) needs to have some stern words to me and let me know I'm "soft" so I win the doona challenge tomorrow morning(5:30amCry).

Quick 7-mile bikeride after work before zipping off to church with the kiddos in tow.  Sheesh!  Life has been moving at Mach-7 this week!  Will be glad when things slow down (hopefully) tomorrow.  58'ish degrees tomorrow (sniff-sniff, I smell another quick bikeride!) then snow Friday and Saturday.  Perhaps some pre-race trail riding on Sunday afternoon if the trail permits.

Oops!  Forgot - 41'ish miles @ 31%.

Terry

What's a doona?

The US version of The Office IS hilarious -- is the writer's strike over yet?

I 'think' its what you call a comforter (and what us kiwis call a duvet)

A blanket filler with duck down or synthetic material...

You are really moving this month

I guess we can allow you to take a couple of days off, and go relax at your conference

Schedule comes out tomorrow... from what I hear there is not a lot of relaxing Shut in a big room with people I work with for 10 hours a day coming up with strategy for the next 12 months...

But the 'organised fun' in the evenings last year was entertaining and this year we are going to a BEAUTIFUL resort.... Im hoping to get up early and WALK ON SAND before breakfast...

Better not drink then....

Sorry but I had to laugh out LOUD about this.

This is coming from someone who never gets up in the morning when he is suppose to and usually makes it to work an hour later then planned. Getting up very early for him means around 8am!!
