Master 1356 | Subject: RE: Avatar Avengers one of the best present presentations I got was while engaged to my hubby. We were commuting together to work sitting in traffic and a motorcyclist drove by with one of those covered-with-fringe jackets. I said "I need more fringe in my life." and hubby-to-be hands over a jewelry box with a ruby bracelet and a "here you go, more fringe." Neither of us are big bling bling folk so that's about the last fringe in our lives, but it was cool, we both recall it fondly. Dunno when he might have given it to me if I'd never said that phrase! Anyway, maybe there's some "casual" time you can slip him the keys. at the weekend BBQ, "dang I forgot to get beer, (toss him the keys) can you go to the store and get a 12pk of eye-of-hawk?" |

Actually, I have to get my miles in now, as my new job starts next week, and I doubt I'll be able to get any week-day rides in unless I take my bike with me to work. So I'm "banking" bike miles for now, and hoping to catch up on my running, and swimming later. We were supposed to go to the pool this morning, but Eric stayed up too late working on the car we bought for a currently-car-less friend so it'll be ready for his birthday next week. FUN.
Now, I really need to get on the ball about my core work. Literally. I mean, on the balance ball. Well, it's a 1990 Honda, so it's not like a bling bling new car. But it'll get him where he needs to go that he can't reach by bike. My Honda is a 1982, and still going strong, so that leads me to hope that even if it looks like poo, it'll keep running for a while. We're trying to come up with a clever way to surprise him with it. Right now, I'm torn between wrapping the keys in a series of nesting boxes, or doing a clue-by-clue present thing.
I vote for clue-by-clue. That's neat & creative! |

This is a reminder that I'll be checking spreadsheets tomorrow to give everyone a Challenge Update! Therefore, all training must be logged in your BT Training Log and on your team's Google Spreadsheet, by SATURDAY night, your time. If it’s not logged and reported, it didn’t happen! If you're having trouble logging your workouts, please let your team captain know. Have a great weekend! And don't forget - you need to MOVE IT this month, so your team doesn't LOSE IT! - Dee |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Avatar Avengers Shoeless - 2008-06-08 12:02 AM Hey, team, I have contacted D001 concerning rgattis, who may have been mistakenly listed as a challenge participant. Just so you know. Captain Avenger Hi Avengers, Rgattis signed up directly on the spreadsheet. (Not everyone posts on the announcement thread - which is absolutely fine. ) Since he DID sign up for the challenge, my assumption (at this time) is that he DOES plan on participating. That said: Captain Avenger - if you haven't already done so, please send him one PM. The rest of the team, feel free to leave inspires. (But don't send additional PMs. We don't want him to feel like we're stalking him! If Heidi sends a single PM that's fine - because she can see if he's picked it up, or not.) My general policy is that we cannot drop him at this time. His last logon to BT was 5/27. But he may be on vacation, or had a busy week, etc. If he doesn't reply to the PM or log any training by the end of next week, please let me know. I'll investigate it further (such as by checking to see if he has logged onto BT, etc.). And I'll make a decision at the end of next week, based upon what happens. Sorry that his spreadsheet entry will show 0% progress. I know that will affect your team percentage, but there are probably other teams in the same situation. It DOES get all worked out eventually, so think of it as a temporary situation, and do NOT let it affect your motivation! - Dee Edited by D001 2008-06-08 10:36 AM |
