chadtower - 2008-07-16 4:48 PM Actually, I think we do get it... and the majority of people don't... the average IQ is under 100 for a reason...

But have you noticed that everyone on BT claims to have an IQ above like 120? That was beaten to death in a thread awhile back. Just funny.

I think I missed that one.

I actually know mine.  And no, I won't tell any of you.  Unless you bribe me.

I know mine - or at least what the result was when I was tested when I was a kid.

Aight peeps.  Gots a question for the TAN fam.

Forgive me for bringing somfin into nuffin but didn't want to do it in the CoJ madness.  TAN madness is good enough.

Ever get the feeling you don't get it.  I don't mean the inside jokes of others at parties and all.  I mean, you ever have those days, or weeks, where you think you are doing quite well, you think you know where you are headed, you think you know what you are doing and that you are doing it quite well.  And then, something happens, probably not major, maybe not even an event, but someone says something fairly innocuous, that makes you think that you are still some niaive little kid that doesn't know squat and are kidding yourself with the thoughts you were having?

That said, and forgive me, but it gives me great relief when people like you, people I think really do always get it and have it all together, people I am most envious of, admit that sometimes you don't feel like you get it, either.

Cheesy quotes from cheesy movies, but oh so true ... "The secret is ... there is no secret!"

Darlin', you are the sweetest.  But like Chadtower said, it's a front.  Take it for the metaphorical cheesiness that is The Matrix, but there is some troof to the mask we all put on to everyone, and most of the time, to ourselves.

i was taught that the average IQ is 100 by definition....

Heh, purely defined, yeah, but people get dumber every day.

My boyfriend and most of our friends are all engineers. When they all have a conversation together it's scary.

Also part of my job at work is to approve information that goes outside the company. Well there is a technical summit coming up and I had to approve about 100 presentations - technical presentations, like R&D stuff. Whoa. Yeah I have no clue what's going on except for in my little corner of the world.

Aight kids, I'm out till later.

Just got a call to play some tennis at 5:30. Dinner somehow, somewhere, then I might be back later when I get back home.

Try and get this thread past the first day, y'know?

Haha me too (apparently)! Very adorable and handy guys. They designed and constructed a beer pong table in my basement in a mere 10 minutes once.

The young, single ones are abundant here... some budding triathletes too

Eh, that's fuzzy.

My official title is Applications Programmer Analyst.

It means I do everything for software.  I even get to write my own SPs and tables in the DB.

Dude, send some my way!

Yeah, my dad is an engineer and I can handle a power drill and a tool set and do lots of handy crap around the house, so guys who know more than me are WAY hot. Plus, I like them because they're the opposite of all the artsy weirdos I went to school with.

I hung around with both.  My fraternity had a huge number of Physics Majors and Tech Theatre Majors.  Made for some wicked fun parties.

Nice. Yeah, my college was on the same street as an MIT fraternity (the boys I mentioned in the last TAN) and so all of us cute dancer girls would frequent their parties and give them a bit a street cred But there were actually a few who were accomplished musicians, a guy who would have gone into stage lighting had he not decided on computers instead, and a guy who did a lot of theatre.

I started college in civil engineering... but didn't like it so I switched to business.

Engineering classes were full of dorks. (no offense, I don't mean ALL engineers are dorks)

Dude, you just shot yourself in the foot there - you shop at Banana, read CS Lewis and like to cook - if you were an engineer, I'd be all over that
