LSU25 that dress is beautiful. Have fun and enjoy the day. I am sure it counts as some sort of workout SHopping is my favorite sport. It is a sport isnt it?

Team Edison #1 AGAIN! YEAH for overachievers. I actually think I tallied my plan minutes wrong when I put my goals for the month...but whatever...I'm sticking to the plan!!

Toddq I had a suitcase with me. My husband the sherpa took it back and forth to the car for me. I had everything!!!! I just couldnt decide. The weather in New England is SO crazy. Of course my HIM is also in New England...not too far form where I did the 1/2, so I probably am going to be confronted with the same issues.

I did 2 hours today... 30 min bike, 1 hour weights and 30 min swim. I'm done!

Nice job!  You are doing Patriot HIM right?  I need to make a decision real quick about that race.  No matter what, I'll be there I just need to decide if it will be my first HIM or not.  Intimidating!!!

I totally want too!  I just need to bite the bullet and register.  It is between this one and RI70.3.  The hills in the RI scare me!  Patriot is sooner in the season and cheaper both work better for me.  Hmmmmm......

Ya no pool sucks.  I drive 100 miles each way to get my swims in.  Someday that will change....(swimspa is on the truck yay)

Met my bike goal, I am at 414 miles so far (goal 400), run is getting there 102 of 110 and swim is also getting there 23,000 out of 24,000.  So one more run, one more swim and I am golden.

Today is 20 mile bike (am), 7.25 mile run (noon) and 20 mile bike (pm).  Rain scheduled on and off all week.

My Tri clothing = tri top, shorts, wetsuit, headband, number belt and waterproof jacket if needed.  (ya run/bike shoes socks are a given).  That has gotten me through events from 38 F to 105 F.  I haven't had significant rain during an event yet, but that is what the bike jursey is for.

Dang, if you can drive 100 miles each way to swim, I can drive an extra 10 to get to another pool.  I'll hit the water for 2000 today!

Not sure I'll get my running goal since I am not running my other half marathon on Saturday.
But, I'll hit my bike goal!  I am loving my bike and trainer.  For now.

Mav, I put Patriot on my schedule!  I'll register soon.  I'm off to find a training plan!

When is the patriot?

Also, hit my swim goal this morning, and going to hop on the bike later to finish up my bike goal- the I will be all finished...this has been a fun challenge....maybe I'll start a similar one for next month since there really isn't any like this.

The cupcakes are the best idea I've ever seen for a wedding cake.  I wish I'd seen something like that before my wedding (long time ago).  We got married outside and it was really hot and the icing pretty much melted.  Those cupcakes would have been much, much better.  (And less messy.)

The LSU cake is really clever.

Wait a second... non-traditional... didn't you say you're having a plantation wedding... that is totally traditional for back home (is it at Nottaway?  I love that place - of course I lov Oak Alley more)

And that stadium cake literally brings tears to my eyes ....  I wonder if they could put little marching people on the field in stadium salute formation?  That would make it perfect (at least for me )

I remember dress shopping with my sis in NO... at House of Broel you actually had to wear gloves to touch the dresses (that place was snooty, but the dresses were gorgeous - and pricey )

Oh the memories you're triggering... I wish I could have gotten married back home

GOOD LUCK!!!

Just thought I'd pop in and see how everyone's doing and give y'all a brief update on the knee.
Knee = doing better, but I'm still not back out skiing, instead I decided to hang out on computer today   As I look out the window and watch people ski.  I tried to swim yesterday, and it still fel unstable and I have absolutely no strength in it right now...  felt like I should have jsut stuck a bouy in between my legs, cause I mainly pulled anyhow.

Hand = I think is hurting more now that I know it's broke.  But it's not neccessarily the hand that hurts but trigger points up the arm (behind the elbow and lateral deltoid down my humerus - I know it's an odd description :| )

So as I mentioned... I sit here in the lodge at Snowbird... typing away and watching others ski/board down the mtn on a beautiful sunny day

Got in a very short bike ride this morning only have about 16 more miles to go on that and 150m in the pool and I will be done....

Also, going wedding dress shopping, shoe shopping, pick his ring up and cake tasting today, we are having a very untraditional wedding on a plantation, the men are wearing khakis a button down white shirt and a navy blue sport coat...I've always wanted a canary yellow wedding dress and it looks like this might be the one http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplayView?storeId=10052&catalogId=10051&categoryId=-49998973&colorName=Canary&subCategory=-49998976%7c-49998975%7c-49998973&top_category=&catentryId=1000108

Unless of course I look like a beach whale in it....more then likely I'm going to have to get it altered....being 6'0 155lbs its very hard to find things that fit right off the shelf

OHHHH!!!  And in your bouquet you could have purple nasturtiums (sp?)?!?!?!??!?

Okay... yes I'm the crazy person that would have had a total purple and gold wedding had I gotten married back home and no one would have objected....
But I still did march pregame at my reception with a bottle of wine as my flag    Yes, my husbands family wondered WTH was going on, but all of my relatives and friends roared and screamed!!!!  (no it wasn't planned, my DJ just put the music on to my surprise )
BTW if you need a sound system I know people.

Yes, I too love the cakes.  I would have had the cupcake one too at my wedding if I'd have thought of it way back when.......

On another note, I FINALLY made it to the pool!  Yes!!!!  But boy do I have my work cut out for me.  I felt so out of shape and spastic.  I've got my work cut out for me.

Lunchtime swim and an afternoon run in today.   That gets me to 100% for the goals of all areas.

3 days to go for the challenge, everyone keep up the training!

I swam yesterday to meet my goal for the month.  Yea, one down!  Run tonight and trainer ride tomorrow should take care of those.  Then that just leaves the core ST workouts.  Hmmmm...I caught up some this week, but I might come up alittle short...

(I will try!)

Swimming - I'm done. I hit 100% - Definitely "stuck to the plan"

Running - I'm gonna be close. 68 minutes shy, and I have a 1 hour run tomorrow. I may have to extend it the extra 8 mins.

Cycling - I was debating whether to ride on Saturday or Sunday. But if Sunday is March, then it won't count. Now I have to ride on Saturday. And then I should hit my goal. Probably a bit more.

Not bad - a month that included business travel and moving and I'll be right on plan. Sweet!

20 mile bike today at 450 with a goal of 400 and my 13 mile run brings me to 115 out of 110.  Only have the 1 swim left and I'm good.  Hope this stomach thing passes.  sigh.
