Also, after signing up for Blockbuster and getting a bunch of Godfather reward points, I bought myself 19 extra mafia members. I think I am at 53 now. I am definitely not getting attacked as much. I don't feel comfortable adding people from the forums, as my sister had a big problem with identity theft. For some reason I don't have a problem adding fellow BT'ers, even though you are all strangers to me.

I read about it in the MW Forums.  Apparently, if you exit Mafia Wars and facebook ENTIRELY (i.e. close your browser) with your health below 20, your profile is essentially a "ghost".  People will still attack you, but you won't see any damage or lose any money.  You still accumulate health at the normal rate, but it will lump in once you log back in.

Really, try it for a week.  Fight your health to below 20 when you're done with Mafia Wars for the day and exit facebook.  Next time you open facebook go straight to Mafia Wars and fight yourself to below 20 again.  Try to keep it below 20 when you are putzing around on FB and then close FB with it below 20.

Since I've been doing this the only times I get attacked are when I run out of stamina before I can dwindle my health down and have to sit there with health above 20.

p.s. Did signing up for Blockbuster cost you anything?

The Blockbuster deal cost me $4.99 (and gave me 93 reward points) and I have to remember to cancel within a month so I don't get charge the regular rate of $11.99/month.  (Actually, I might continue after the first month, as I end up renting movies On Demand and this deal would be cheaper.)

I think the Netflix deal is for a free trial, but I was not eligible because I was a member of Netflix before. 

nah... I let them try to attack me,,, they lose,, they I take them out quickly.... trust me you will get there..

I would let them attack, if they lose it is like getting free experience points, if they win it just cost money to buy more health, robbing is what can cost you big, but I have sold off most properties and own a large number of mafia mikes and beachfront property (can't rob those).  You end up making more from jobs at a certain level.

Yeah, I don't particularly care about the money I lose, but unfortunately I almost never win when someone attacks me so I'm not gaining any experience from it.  And dangit I REALLY want that beat six attackers in a row achievement!  I got up to 5 once when some idiot attacked me five times and lost...but then the next person that attacked me beat me.

Edited to add:  The only problem with your $$$ strategy is that you'll NEVER be able to get to the $1T achievements that way...or it will take years.

I hate waiting around for a little extra energy so I can level up before using an energy pack....

  i agree,, that's how I got hooked on those farm games... waiting for energy,,   I hate it when I level up and I still have over 50% of my energy unused..

steveyD is also hooked. damnit ... lol

what path do you guys take iwth your points from levelling, more energy or spend lots in attack/defense etc so you get more fight wins?

What do you mean?  Do you need a Diamond ring so you can gift it to someone Level 8 or lower?

I spread it around pretty evenly at first but not much in stamina and then I started upping attack/defense when I started losing a lot of fights and lately I've been pouring it all into energy trying to finish the Boss tier and have enough capacity for once I get the throne and get double energy.

If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't put NEARLY as much into health as it eventually becomes very easy to buy health once you make a little money.  I would put a LITTLE more into stamina so I could always fight my health below 20 (plus it regens faster than energy and you can get 2-3 experience points per stamina point), and keep trying to get attack/defense/energy high.

Oh, sorry...there is an achievement called "That's Amore" where you give a Diamond Ring to someone Level 8 or less...so I was confused.

Anyway, did you post your info so we can all add you?

Yup, drives me bananas.  But I always figure that to wait to use the energy pack isn't going to be any better...because you only get one every 23 hours...so if I wait until morning I've gone 36 hours and if you do that twice you've lost your opportunity at a whole energy pack.

So I will only wait if I know I can level up within a few hours....

most of my points go to energy, i have 400 right now, i put none into stamina or strength, whats left goes to attack and defense, which i have up to roughly double my level. i would love to get 501 mafia, but i really realy do not want to do a mass add again, it is such a pain with those, and trying to delete them.

I'm lost I've been on FB for 3-4 days.  How do you find the direct link.

They are opening up Russia soon.

I got a .45 ACP pistol this morning as 1 of 8 Russian loot items.  With all 8 supposedly you get an extra goody when they open Russia.

I used the "Quick add to MW" groups and have bumped up from about 35 mafia to almost 90 now.  Got so many I realized I did not have enough armor for everyone and had to buy more!  Starting to be a force to be reckoned with (all level 67 of me).

Oh, how'd you get that loot?  A specific job or were you fighting in Cuba?

I got the .45 ACP and then I got a second loot item.

The .45 ACP was from the hitman series and then the second loot item in the soldier series.
