Ahh,   I can relate.  My bike was my step-daughter's bike when she was in 5th Grade (12 years ago).  She was about as tall then as I am now.  It is a youth bike so it is a little short from seat to bars but I put on an adjustable stem that helps.  For now it has wider "off-road" tires because our roads are rough and will be winter wet.  Our hi temp has already dropped into the 50s this week.  BRRR

I would love a high temp in the 50s.  We are down to the 40s this week.  It's supposed to warm up for the weekend, though.  Right in time to start running again.

Even the tough old folks who've live here their whole lives are complaining about how cold it is this year and expecting a really bad winter.  Figures, the year we move north....

ilucy2 - 2009-09-29 6:09 PM Wellllll the month has not officially started, but the team is just a chattin away...Neal. Did a little speed work this morning. Probably not a good combination. Did serious leg workout last night and my hams are killing me!....uggg. I need a hot tub! mmmmm I had a nice carb loaded lasanga. Yeah not sure what hit me but I found candy corn today.....HEY! DON"T JUDGE ME!

kendra.....hot tub sounds fabulous....and safe to say you can always have any and all candy corn I get when trick or treating. but I do love chocolate!!!!!!!!!!mmmmmmm

must have chocolate!

x2.  no candy corn but I will always take chocolate.  I think they should make "candy corn"  out of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate.  Is that enough stripes?  I am sure that I can come up with another chocolate!

Check out Wal-Mart for the candy corn, they have EVERYTHING! Carmeled Apple, choc, etc.....uggggg I hate this time of year. I do not eat chocolate, but the apple is to die for....or gain weight for.

I won't know my goal for October until tomorrow night.  It all depends on if I can get my last run done for September.  I had to have my old kitty cat put to sleep today so I bagged todays workout.  I'm really sad.  I'm having wine for dinner.   Anyone want to join me in a toast to my happily resting kitty?

Man, I know your sadness, we had a guiena pig that was a huge friend.....a run will help.

Good morning!  The kids are off to school and I am trying very hard to get the fire going in the wood stove.  (41 degs and damp, bleh.)  I am not going to survive the winter if I don't get this fire thing figured out.  My hubby throws some stuff in there, lights a match, and - bingo - roaring fire.  I do exactly what he tells me to, and I get little flames that burn out before the logs light.  Sigh.

If I suddenly stop posting, send someone to chip the ice off me.

We are the opposite way out my house. I can start a fire in no time flat, we would freeze to death if we had to wait for my husband to do it. Fortunately I get up earlier in the morning and can get it going if it goes out at night, and I'm home earlier so the house is nice and toasty before anyone else gets home. I have, on occasion bought the firestarter packs. It says there are 4 of these things in a pack, but we break them into pieces and can get maybe 20 fires out of them.

I'm in PA so if we don't hear from you I'll head north with an ice pick.

We need to make some firestarters.  My husband makes good ones with newspaper, wax and paper towel rolls.  I've been saving all the candle ends (I teach yoga, so I use lots of candles), so we should be able to do that soon.  I should buy some in the meantime.  Maybe that would help.

And I know who to look for next time I can't get the fire going.  I need a fire mentor!

Brrrr!  We hit upper 30s overnight.  I like fall but that's a little too cold for my liking right now.

Put the keyboard and mouse down and slowly back away from the computer.  I don't know why but the image of someone with a bullhorn saying these words to you popped into my head.

Tracy, so sorry about your kitty.  Will have a toast in his/her honor tonight.  I have one that is almost 20 yrs old and know I'll cry like a baby when the day comes.
