D001 - 2009-12-05 1:36 PM We had a couple of versions of the Vixens table last year. But I don't think your wife would have patience with THIS one either.

Nah - just tell her that they're leg models for a reason.  :P

Hi all, I'm Shawn and very belatedly joining the discussion.  My wife just had knee surgery to repair some cartiledge issues she had and I've been taking care of her as well as finishing up the thank you's and stuff from our wedding.  I really need to get back on track preparing for my first Olympic next year so I'm very much looking forward to this challenge.  A trainer ride is in my future tonight and I should be completely back on schedule now that things are  little less hectic and I know that she can semi-gimp around our apartment on one leg.

Speaking of which, it's time to go switch out her ice and complain about the light snow and rain we're getting.  Have a great evening all!

Evening team! Got in  just under 5 miles, cold rain but nothing too heavy and I love having hot chocolate as a recovery beverage!!  Waiting for the snow to start tonight and hoping for a sunny long run  tomorrow.  Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

oh yeah - and something else in my signature about losing the November challenge...need to update that....

IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!

I have a 5k tomorrow morning.  I hope the roads are clear so I can make it.  I would be quite sad if I couldn't go.   Gonna play it by ear but either way, I'll run tomorrow.

Hope everyone had a great Saturday!

Good evening team, nice to see everyone working hard on their goals, keep up the good work!  I just finished off a 40k ride on the drainer, followed by a 5k on the dreadmill and oddly enough still have energy left.  I think I just earned some serious sofa time now.

Morning Vixies!  The sun is bright this morning and has melted the snow off the roads.  Just enough left to cover up the grass.  I'm drinking too much coffee and trying to figure out a running route today that will keep me out of the wind.  Enjoy the day all!!!

way to go on your cold weather race DUANE.  lots of people choose to stay snug in their beds rather than race this time of year, so kudos to you for gettin out there and runnin' it!

i too, am sitting here looking out my window to a spectacularly sunny day....i only wish i was running today.

i would.  but i made plans to meet someone to swim, and i definately dont have a two fer in me, not today anyhows.

i extended my trng schedule so that i was tapering on the 5th week rather than the 4th, so that the taper would coincide w my not so important 5K on Saturday....

my body is really telling me...time to taper.

so taper i will.

KATHY, enjoy some of that sunny run for me, k?

Well it was sunny at least I can say that, otherwise it was an irritating run.  30 degrees with a sharp wind that kept hitting me in the face every time I turned a corner and lots of clothing issues.  I am bagging tonight's swim in favor of some family time and tree decorating.  I will try to swim 3 x next week to make it up. My Y is replacing the floors in the room I teach spin in so class has been canceled from the 9th through the 22nd.  Bummer since it throws off my cycling schedule but it also frees up some nights to swim, and since swim is a challenge goal I will focus there.

what up, KATHY is it Y improvement month.  the fitness center at my Y is gonna be closed from the 14-18th to install new equipment, its gonna be a good thing when its all done, but in the meantime it does rearrange the schedule just a tad!

way to go seeing it as an opportunity to shift your focus for a time.

as for your run.  BAH!  dont you just love those sorts of runs?

enjoy your family time and decorating.

Hey there Vixens!  First time I have checked in today.  Shocking.  I ran a lovely (yet cold) 5k this morning.  Pretty happy with how I did.  I finished in 27:56.  I would have been about 20 seconds faster but I had to stop to tie my shoe.  Are you kidding me????  I wasn't happy.  But, I finished 3rd in my division!!  Pretty happy about that.  I got a fabulously warm fleece blanket.  Sweet!  Hope everyone else had a great Sunday.
