Recovery workout yesterday, today did the Cardio Power & Resistance.

Question - I'm using the calendar plan that came w/ the DVD's. One DVD (Cardio Abs) is never actually on the schedule - how do you guys use it - is it something you throw in as an extra or on recovery day? All the other titles in the set are included somewhere on the schedule.

Yeah, that cardio abs is never actually factored in...the short version is (which is I think what Stuart is referring to).  I've done the full cardio abs...it's like 30 minutes long and killer.  My back was so sore the next day I could barely get out of bed.  I've just used the 15 minute on that's tacked on to the Pure Cardio DVD and the Max Cardio.

Good morning!  Five mile run first this morning followed by the skipped Max Cardio Circuit from yesterday.  Killer after a run!  I was able to work so much harder though...I was just a pile at the end!  But...it's DONE!  Have a great weekend Insanity buddies!

Happy Monday!  I'm feeling pretty bada$$ today.  Did Insanity Max Plyo Interval (or whatever it's called). Finished that and just for fun decided to do the Core Cardio and Balance workout as well.  This is my last week of Insanity!

Pure Cardio this morning, Im suffering from crossover soreness from doing Abripperx. I kept up with Sean most of the workout so things are allot better than 60 days ago, level 2 was not so bad.
I already have my healthy Thanksgiving Dinner menu planned out: grilled turkey breasts with herbs, steamed carrots, steamed brussle sprouts, steamed green beans, steamed yams, lowfat turkey gravy. Im not a big cranberry fan, also I have yet to come up with a lo-cal healthy desert option to replace pumpkin pie, any suggestions?

Got it. Pumpkin Pie Protien Pudding-

One 1.5 oz. package Sugar-Free Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix (I use Jell-o brand)
-3/4 oz. water
-2 scoops of vanilla protein powder (I use Unjury brand)
-2 tablespoons canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
-1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice.

Ignore the pudding mix instructions to mix with milk. Instead, whisk the dry pudding mix with the pumpkin pie spice.
Combine the water with the protein powder and stir into the dry pudding/protein mixture.
Add the canned pumpkin and whisk for a couple of minutes until it's all smooth; cover and put in the fridge for at least 5 mins to set.
107 cals
14 g protein
12 g carbohydrates, of which 3 are sugar from the pumpkin.

Ooooh! That sounds great!  I'm going to try that one!  Another option I go with all the time is a soda pop cake.  Take one dry mix of cake of your choice, 12 oz of whatever diet soda you like, mix the two together like a regular cake mix and bake!  Top with sugar free cool whip. It's delicious and fun to come up with different combos.  I love yellow cake with diet Sprite or Fresca.  I'm not sure on the sugar grams, but not much.

Plyometric Cardio Curcuit today, it seemed easy, Im thinking about getting a weighted vest to spice things up, maybe some ankle weights too, or maybe not!

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!  :-)

45 minute run followed by Core Cardio and Balance.

A weighted vest?  Great idea...that certainly would spice things up!

Good morning!! Today was day 3 week 2.  I HEART insanity! I did cardio power and resistence then did a 4 mile run with speed interval ladders.  No swimming this week (they are painting the pool   I saw someone mention the level 1 drills.....I dread those things, every time they start up I'm pretty sure I audibly groan! It is not really my shoulders but my wrists start hurting! I am watching my form ie shoulders over wrists, not sure if anyone else is having this issue.

Doncha just love it???  This is my last week of the 60 day program.  Next week is a taper week for my 1/2 marathon Dec. 5 but then I'll start up again for the rest of December.  It's just such a great workout!

Nope, it's the Rock-N-Roll Half Marathon in Vegas, baby, Vegas!  I'm actually going to dress up like Elvis!  Can't wait!

Yesterday and today I met with a group of wrestlers and we did Insanity--yesterday morning was Cardio Circuit and today was Cardio Conditioning.  They love the workout too!  They want to go again tomorrow morning--my last workout!  It's been fun to work out with other people since I always workout alone!

Pure Cardio today. Last week I had 2 rest days (holiday interference), so doubled up on Saturday. Still on track entering week #4.

Anybody else out there still in?

On Saturday I finished the 60 day series!  However, the high school wrestlers love it, so I am starting it over again today and leading them through it in the afternoon after school in my classroom.  This week I'm only going Mon-Wed though because I am also tapering for a 1/2 marathon on Sunday.  Then full speed ahead through the rest of December!  I think this is the first Thanksgiving weekend I didn't gain weight!

I love that the wrestling team is so into it. I coach several girls soccer teams and think that much of the Insanity program would benefit my soccer players, especially the older girls who need speed/agility improvements.

Nice job on the 5K!

Did you do the Fit Test yet? I'd recommend it. It is really cool to see the difference from the first to the second fit test.

Thanks! I was actually really happy with it, I live in Texas and was up in Chicago for thanksgiving so the cold weather kinda sucked but felt great to run in!

Actually the fit test is today, I have a big living room with hardwood floor and some big yoga mats so I'm hoping this is a good setup. I'm going to try to do these before work in the AM cause morning works out really wake me up and get me going and like to finish the day with an easy 3-5 mile run and on weekends I'll mix it up with some cycling.
