Subject: RE: Ironman 70.3 Racine : Official ThreadI would wear tinted goggles. It was cloudy last year so not an issue. I did a 70.3 on Sunday and the 2nd half of the swim I looked directly into the sun, went off course of course! I usually only breathed to the right so I could see the shore and the lifeguards, my best friends at that point.
The run course you do twice. You can see your fans a lot then! Compared to the course I did this weekend, Racine is nice and smooth, barely any hills. The GR Tri 70.3 was almost all hills on the run. The first 3 miles is beautiful along the shore and up the hill, great inspiration!
Hope everyone's training is going well. My time this weekend was only 30 seconds slower then Racine!
Keep on rolling triathletes!
