Managed a run and gulped down way more than 64 oz. of water. I'm usually pretty good about that and don't anticipate it to be a problem. We're low on provisions at the moment, so I fell short on the fruits and veggies. All was going to be OK on the junk food front until I went scavenging for an evening snack. Avoided the sweet stuff that seems to be sitting everywhere in abundance, but couldn't stay away from some popcorn. On to Day 2! Popcorn is only junk food when you load it with lots of butter, salt or sugar (like kettle corn). At least that's how I see it. I like your way of thinking! I didn't exactly 'load' it up...it's the prefab microwave stuff. Granted it was the Oroville Redenbacher lite stuff which isn't as crap laden, but it wasn't exactly clean either. If I would have made some air popped, I would have called it good. We went to a movie last night. We weren't going to get any goodies until we saw they now have kettle corn. I should have saved my money. It wasn't very good and now I can't count it as a junk food free day. |

Expert 1246 West Grove, PA | Subject: RE: January Training and Nutrition Challenge Hello one and all! Happy New Year! I'm a little late to the party, but I'm in! And I have just completed my 20-week HIM-to-couch-potato anti-training program. That's right... since I crossed the finish line at the Syracuse 70.3 in September, I have not ran, biked, or swam (swum?) ONCE. It's a little embarrassing, but I'm ready to jump back in. I'll get my info into the spreadsheet tonight. I'm setting the alarm for 5:30am tomorrow for my first treadmill run of the new tri season. A triathlete is re-born! |

Kettle corn is usually more tempting but still not enough that I buy it unless my wife wants some. The stuff we had last night was flavorless. I don't know what kind of kettle corn my wife usually brings home but it is tastey. |

I say no because you are pretty close to me in points Seriously though, log and count it if its exercise, or log and count the portion that is at least - thats the way I see it. I count stuff that I consider a workout in my mind, and don't for instance, count my cycle commutes because I don't class them as training. |
