I don't think I've ever been soo excited about something but dreaded something so much at the same time.rnihill - 2011-03-05 2:12 PM Well, foot feels better but now I have a cold. Ugh!!!!! Did get a qucik bike in before my massage today. Now I'm chillin' and waiting for the kids to come home from playing at their cousins. What an AWESOME Saturday! Glad your foot is doing better. Have you set up the date for the surgery on your wrist yet? You're supposed to schedule things like this for Monday. That way you can enjoy the weekend before the surgery and you maximize the number of days to recover before the next weekend. Plus, as an added bonus, you get to miss work. |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge rh8463 - 2011-03-06 1:08 AM I raced today, almost Oly (1k, 30k, 8k) - horrible, horrible OWS with massive currents. I could swear stayed in the same place for about 5 mins at one stage, but the bike was good and so was the run. Don't think I quite broke 2 hours but I was close. Accurate times will be out tomorrow and I'll post a race report. Congrats on the race. I can't wait for the season to start here. |

Ooo hot arms - very nice! I just did my 8km run for the day and stopped half way for an hour yoga session at the studio. Good times! On the weekend I beat 2 walls at the climbing gym that I was previously unable to do! Are sexy arms coming my way? I will settle for a sexy tummy. |

Veteran 392 Calgary | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge Hey all - I've been lurking but not posting - not much time during my working-days ... but I'm now on days off. Congrats to everyone on races, time trials, hot arms, yoga, and all our other little successes! My parents arrive today for a 5-day visit. Wish me luck. I do not get along with my parents at all (long story) ... this is going to be a very tough week. Like I said in my blog - I feel like I have to set my life aside while they are here, just to avoid fights and drama ... I will not be seeing my boyfriend all week (when we normally spend 5-6 nights/week together), I will not be seeing my friends, doing any of the activities I normally do, eating the way I normally do, etc ... it's frustrating for me, to have to do this, but unfortunately it is the only way to keep the peace with these unreasonable and childish people. And it's only 5 days, right? They leave Friday ... There is a SLIGHT chance I may introduce my boyfriend to my parents - they still haven't met, as my folks only visit twice a year - but that chance is slight. I think he wants to meet them, but senses my trepidation so is not pushing the subject. My 2 goals while they are here: Stick to my food plan, eat only 2 cheat meals this week (my parents are both overweight, my father very obese, and how I eat, ie: healthy, is a constant argument) ... and get to the gym Tues for a run, Wed for a spin, and Thurs for a swim. That will be my alone-time. I can do it. |

The current course has a wicked bike course with 2 sharp 90 degree sharp turns near the bottom of a hills one of them you fly down past the pool at 36-37 mph . ha ha i overcooked that turn on the second lap as no one was in front slowing down and braked really hard skidded down to 15mph or so to complete the turn without mishap . I had better respect of that turn on the last 2 laps. Saw a least One guy who was doing it on a fixed gear bike ... |

I remember those turns well ... it's a good thing they didn't DQ me on that first one coming down the hill from the pool because I totally went outside the cones in order to avoid hitting people who had all bunched up and slowed down for it.
