owl_girl - 2011-05-12 11:30 AM Thanks everyone.  No results yet.  At least my temp has gone back to normal from a whopping high of 103.1!  (Sorry, I don't know what that is in *C. )  I'm finally starting to cough up some super nasty looking stuff.  Gawd, it hurts!  I guess I shouldn't have done that 100K ride. Embarassed

Yuck!!

Any word on the chest xray?

I was just reading a nutrition thread and people were talking about bananas. I realised I used to eat them ALL the time but I haven't had one for 3-4 months now because the floods meant ruined crops (we don't import) and prices have been at least $12 a kilo all year which I refuse to pay. I'm sad, I like bananas.

Just had to share - that is all!

I find if I don't eat a banana every 2 days or so, I get REALLY bad foot/calf cramps ... my body needs the potassium. Also if I go more than 3-4 days, I get lock jaw.

Bananas are a necessity in my world!

Nothing.  I didn't expect anything until midday anyway.  It's just barely past midday.

Just thought I'd check in with everyone.... I graduate on Friday (absolutely unreal to me).  Been spending all my time with my friends this week.  Tomorrow I have an awards ceremony for being in honors and writing a thesis.  Saturday I'm leaving for the beach for a week and then it's time to get a job and a new place to live for me and James.

Hope everyone has a good rest of the week!

Congrats Emma! Enjoy your graduation and your well earned week at the beach!

I never got my run in yesterday...  Embarassed  After having to leave early to get #2 to preschool, my first PT appointment in the morning, a day of work, pick up both kids, #2's dance class from 4:30-5:30, #1's soccer from 5:30 to 7:30, PB sandwiches for dinner in the car between that, showers for the girls and laundry so I can pack and it was hubby's hockey night - running at 9:30 last night just wasn't going to happen.

I'm wishing I did though because I had 2 moles removed this morning...  no showers for 2 days.  Even if I felt like working out right now I can't go stinky for 2 days!!  And I still have to get through another blood check this afternoon for my dd and a Girl Scout bridging ceremony tonight, preferably smelling ok.

So, I'm heading to Buffalo for the weekend after GS tonight.  Tomorrow is just a fun day with my parents, Saturday is a bridal shower for my soon to be SIL and Sunday we're having brunch for my dad's 60th birthday.

I may have free time to myself... sometime this month...  I have a lot of biking and running to get in still this month!

If I don't have time to check back in, have great weekends everyone!

My goodness Rhoda - you really are super Mum! Hope you do find some time for yourself and enjoy the weekend!

Hmmm, I have been getting more cramps than usual lately - maybe thats the reason. Guess I better find another potassium source!

The doc put me on antibiotics last night because he was pretty sure I had it.  This was one of the few times that I agreed to be on antibiotics without a proper diagnosis.  I'm glad I decided to start it early because we caught it early.

On a positive note, I got 41st of 143 riders at the 100K last Saturday.  I would have been 1st female if my quad had cooperated.  Instead, I was 6th female.

x2 - I've been having this more and more lately. I found that a good sports drink everyday also prevents the cramping but bananas taste better and don't cost as much.

first off i am sorry if i am going to rant here but......ended up at my ortho doc because my left shoulder has been nagging me for about 4 months. i tried stretching and weights but that didnt help. so his initial diagnosis is a rotator cuff tear. great. i have just found a place to start swimming again in june, but no....so i have an mri scheduled for next week, and start some PT to see if the shoulder will respond to that. but he said more than likely surgery will be needed to repair the shoulder. i am just frustrated again by injuries. sorry just had to vent. thanks.
