Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Are Peachy in May! Good morning Ghoulies! Robin and Amy, sending good ju ju to your boys. We had our own adventure yesterday, but it wasn't as exciting as what you guys are dealing with. We went for an easy hike yesterday along a stream and then partway around a lake. Everyone was having fun. The kids and the dogs were playing in the water, all was good. On the way back, I was at the truck, my husband stopped to talk to a fisherman, and my daughter was running between the two of us. She tripped and wiped out. She took a real good chunk out of one knee. She scratched the other knee, somehow scraped up her rib cage on one side, scraped up the inside of both elbows, and one of her hands. I typically have all sorts of first aid supplies with me. We had nothing in the truck, we do now. I used paper towels and water to clean her up until we got home. She's going to be stiff and sore for a few days, but I think she'll pull through. |

Ann, so sorry about your punkin head! Hope she heals fast. Amy hasn't let us know how her lil guy is doing. Hope they are home enjoying the new carpet! My DH was down and out all yesterday but no ER visit. YEA! I was puny yesterday, too. I must have had a touch of what ever he had. Today we are better but now I am WAAAAAYYY behind on chores. I started the day with a meeting but it was the best kind ever. Touring the new stairs going up to the top of Chimney Rock state park. We got to go in before the park was open so it was just us, the mountain and the critters. We even got to hear the perigrine falcon. Now back to work. I'll check in after a bit. Sounds like the Ghoulies are going in 10 directions at once. Have great Days all! |

And I hear that the painter showed up and finished the painting this morning, including a bathroom we asked him to do as a side job. I have spent the last 24 hours at the doctors/ER/hospital with my 9 year old. He apparently didn't want his apendix anymore. He is slated to possibly go home tomorrow afternoon. we shall see. He's currently sleeping off all the anesthesia, and the aftereffects when he tried to eat and drink something a couple hours ago. I am one tired momma right about now. Wow, Amy. Glad to know that he is doing okay.

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Are Peachy in May! Hi everyone. Had a great weekend. Relay For Life was awesome. Introduced my BIL to it. He has never been to one and he found it very inspiring and the energy level high. The Bicycle ride on Saturday morning went well. Hubby only got us off course once, LOL. We were slow, but got the ride done. Then the Paper Dress fashion show was awesome. I took the video for it and I hope that the library is happy with the results. I've never used that camera before and I'm happy with the results. Then Sunday worked in the yard for about 4.5 hours. It is looking awesome. Then we went to Snellville Daze, arts and craft show, etc, for about an hour. Fondue for dinner. All was wonderful. Here is the picture of the paper dress that I helped to make. There are over 500 paper beads on the two layers of fringe. Edited by kns57 2011-05-09 11:35 AM (Paper Dress.jpg) Attachments ---------------- Paper Dress.jpg (87KB - 12 downloads) |

Yeah, but at the same time, 5 hours of cycling you burned off about 1500 - 2000 calories. |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Are Peachy in May! Sorry about the lack of updates. We are home now--got home about 8:00 last night. I've spent the whole day snuggled up on the couch with my boy. He's moving a ton better today. I actually fell asleep for a while and i woke up to my son foraging in the fridge for food. LOL. He is overdoing it a bit, though, and he is a difficult one to keep down. |
