Swam another 1550 meters this morning - and it was a pleasant minus 3 celsius for a change!

Total 6050 of 13500. 45% completed - Woohoo!

Just saw that the past weeks results are now posted. We dropped to 2nd place and though I am on schedule with my swims I see that the timing of your swims affects whether you are at or above your goal. This past week we should have been at 35.5 % and I was at 33.3% so I'll figure out how many extra laps I have to tack on to this Thursdays swim in order to be at or above my goal next week.

While the final percentage of team members who met their goal is critical to the final score, it is provided in the interim to give you a snapshot of where your team is on a weekly basis so that those who are falling behind can give themselves a kick in the butt to get back on schedule.

Not everyone's planned distances is evenly distributed throughout the month (some people will be finished by Christmas) so bear that in mind, as well.

I just noticed that my distances are being converted from yards to meters. My original goal was 25000 yards, not meters. But I like a little added challenge, you may leave it in meters and I will do 25k. That's 27340 yards total.

Piece of cake.

It was brought to my attention (thank you, soloryder) that my formulae were wrong. In some cases, I had copied a formula to another team without adjusting for # of teammembers; in other cases, some people had dropped out and I hadn't adjusted for the new # of teammembers. Sorry for the confusion.

Adjusted standings are as follows:

  1. Crazy Canucks: 47-79-63
  2. Midwest Blizzards: 43-79-61
  3. Team Utah: 40-80-60
  4. MidAtlantic Crabs: 40-67-53
  5. Carolina Curmudgeons: 31-38-34
  6. Southwest Swashbuckers: 32-33-33.84 tied with Pacific Ring of Fire: 26/40/33.84
  7. Georgia Shockers: 32-33-33.62
  8. Florida Force: 29-33-31
  9. NewEngland Pooltriots: 34-29-31
  10. Texas Yeehaws: 28-25-26

Sorry to hear you feel like hiding under the stairs.  If you are feeling dizzy while sitting on the pool deck, it counts in my book.

I was finally able to swim as much as I wanted today - 7000 yards! Let's couple that with a short workout tomorrow morning, and a fri/sat combo. Great work everyone by the way!

Hey Team

Just got home from 1100m swim, that leaves me with 1700m yet to complete.  I am right on track.  Planning on getting another 1000m done on Thursday.  Then I am away for 10 days... soo my final chunk will get done sometime after I get home (the 28th)  Keep up the fantastic swimming.

OK. So Team Canada is the team to beat? I got another challenge. Beat my last single swim. Ready?

6300 Meters. 4000 in one set.

I've drawn a line in the sand. Anyone dare to step over it?

I humbly pay homage to So Fresh So Clean. His recent workout of 7000 yards is very impressive. I'm going to slink away, regroup, and try to gather up the courage to attempt something even greater. ALL HAIL KING SO FRESH SO CLEAN!

Last masters practice before the holidays.  I am hoping to complete my set goal tonight as long as there are not too many kicking drills.  I am so slow at kicking, I almost feel like I am going backwards.

Lets keep up to good work in the pool.  When the weather get cold, the Canucks go swimming. but then again , when the weather get warm the Aussies go swimming. And I have no idea what the weather does in Kent, but the Kentonian should be swimming too.  And Jeubank we consider you as a Canuck, just slightly off to the West.
