Sounds tasty; although cafeteria food maybe a slight bit questionable as far as flavor.  Either way, still probably better than the roast beef sandwhich

I want to get another stamp on my passport this year... so tough to decide on where if I can only pick one country!

Obvious first round picks are places like France, Italy, Spain.
Second round picks are places like Dubai, Amsterdam, Tokyo.

Where would you people go if you could only pick one place?

Out of your selections?  I'd say Italy.  Spain is second.

Dubai would be in the lower tier of countries I would ever want to go to frankly.  Seen too much of the ME...

Been to Dubai and Abu Dhabi (both in the U.A.E.)... I have no desire to ever return.  Granted, most of the construction that has happened there has been since I was there, but seeing the Burj or the funky private islands just isn't reason enough for me.  If I wanted to visit a place like that, I'd prefer Egypt, Turkey, or Morroco.

of the list - agree on Italy.  History, culture, food, museums, art... they have it all.

Yes, Italy was one of my favorite vacations. I love Florence (and the whole Tuscany region - talk about good wines!). Its more of a large town than a city, but walking the same streets that Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and where the most famous bonfire of the vanities took place is something special.

Actually the cafeteria food here isn't too terribly bad and the salmon was tasty!

I made bread pudding the other day.  I think it was my second attemps after a less then impressive frist try years ago.

This time however, it was good.  Even better a few days later.  It's something I'm going to put in the regular dessert rotation from now on.

aaaah I need some food but have nothing plain in the house ... instant noodles without the seasonings? That's like eating Cheerios without milk! Hm. I do have Cheerios.

Every time I read your sig line I chuckle knowingly to myself and think, I am a dragon.

I need food too.  Or I snack on the remnants of all the Chrismas baskets we got at the office.  I made a good fritata/quiche the other day (I call it my "church potluck" diss).

May make a lemon merangue pie - just cuz I want it.

Hey, is everyone sick around you or is that just my world.  It seems everyone is going through some bronchial type thing.  Coughing and hacking.  Family in CA, the wife, coworkers, etc...

Same thing around here!  Everyone was sick before Christmas, left town, everyone there was sick too, came back, all previously healthy people are now sick.  The only people not sick, my wife, kids, and me!

Is that this season's epidemic/strain?  It's seems very "chesty".  Lots of deep coughs.  If it's the same thing, it's amazing/scary how FAST it get's around.  Not only just my immediate surroundings, but go to CA and everyone there already has it too.

So far, I seem to have dodged it.  I feel a bit off, but it could just be fatigue and just a bit of the sniffles.  Or just a VERY mild version of it?  * knock on wood *

Yeah it seems to be hit or miss around here.  either you get hammered (me) or you get a quick case of the sniffles and are done in a day (my son the rotten little.... who gave this to me).

Try it with a breakfast french toast slant, still good as dessert but excellent sliced and warmed up with real maple syrup.

If I have ONE complaint about the wife (and I may have more than one)...  It would be that when she is sick, she craves snuggling and kissing and affection.  I'm like REALLY?  It's like she wants to get me sick.

I will say "no, I don't want to get sick and YOU are sick"...  Her?  "I'm not... sniffle, cough, hack... sick".
