Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Morning Ghouligans. I swam yesterday. Beyond slow but I got in there. We went to a Spanish wine tasting dinner last night. Fun fun fun, but I have to stop these things. I need to get the weight off and that is not helping. I was down 5 pounds and now they are all back. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action I am off to the docs today. It is my annual physical for work that I put off last week. If I get out in time, I may go back for another swim. I have a window where the water aerobics folks are gone, before the swim team starts. If I miss that time, It will be next week before I get back in the water. Have fun, Ghoules! |

Some days I hate being a manager and today is one of them. Nothing specific, just in general. Did you ever hear anything about the 2 positions you applied for a few months ago? One of them they hired from within and did not even interview any of the outside candidates. The other one sent a letter stating they were postponing the process for 6 months. So, I'll be keeping an eye out for the listing in the next couple of months and try again. Yeah, I just need to get a Director position and be a Dictator. I mean, they are the same thing, right NOT!!! |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Morning Ghoulies! I am off to go collect samples at a hazardous waste site today. They put several tons of soil over the site that was contaminated. The idiots that I work for want the sample to see if the site is cleaned up. The samples will come back clean (of course) so, the idiots will say that it is clean. What an easy way to clean up a contaminated site. Screw the people that have wells there. They are just peons anyway, the owner of the factory, that closed it, caused the contamination and wanted to build a condo there) are JOB CREATORS so the rules don't apply to them. sigh. Sorry about the early morning rant. Have lovely, lovey days all. At least the sun will be out, though it is supposed to be pretty windy and cool. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Good day Ghoulies. Branch Managers meeting this morning. Now at the branch to close this evening, and work all inbetween. Robin - I would think that the sample would need to come a bit deeper than just a topical soil sample. Hate hearing things like this. Ann - rocks in the socks, I like. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Morning. I am off to try to get my annual physical.... again. I waited for 30 minutes passed my appointment the other day and re-scheduled. I get pizzed off to have to wait. I have work to do, too. It will be interesting to see if the 5 pages of paperwork I filled out were kept or if I have to fill them out again. |

Then I am going to try and take a long walk tonight to see how the hip and leg are doing. I go back to the dr tomorrow morning. Hopefully Robin is not kept waiting for her appointment today. Anything fun on the schedule for you? How has your hip been feeling? Any progress at all? I am so incredibly bored at work right now it isn't funny. Monday and Tuesday I was pretty busy, but yesterday and today NOTHING. I knew yesterday I wouldn't have anything to do today, unless something breaks, it was very hard to get out of bed and drive in this morning. I'm WFH tomorrow though, so that won't be as bad. Donnie left yesterday morning to go to a training class, and won't be home until tomorrow night. Caleb has soccer practice tonight, but Tuesday's practice was only an hour, so I'll probably just hang out there. There is a walking track around the park, it's about .6 miles. It is only to be a high of 40 today, snow flurries, and very windy. I'm thinking I'll read a book in the car during practice and then walk on the treadmill when we get home. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action I have a WWTGD question... I don't remember if I posted anything earlier about Keri's basketball season, but it was very frustrating for several reasons. I did not like her coach. I don't feel he really COACHED the girls. I thought practices were a joke. They didn't work on fundamentals, like shooting, dribbling, passing, in 2 hours they didn't really do much at all. His daughter was the worst player on the team, and played the same position as Keri, guess who got more playing time. The assistant coach wasn't much better, I think he knows something about basketball, but his daughter played starting point guard and she shouldn't have. She turned the ball over 14 times in 1 game. Every game was the same thing, she'd bring the ball down, go around to the right, get trapped in the corner and turn over the ball. She would rarely pass the ball, and when she did she would pass it right to the other team. Both coaches treated her like she walked on water. Keri is a born point guard and never got to play the position. Her coach from last year was at a game and asked why she wasn't playing point. Anyway... I also found her coach creepy. He was creepy. He took a lot of pictures of the girls. A LOT OF PICTURES. I think the wording of his emails were inappropriate, and he always addressed the girls in the emails, not the parents. He sent me a friend request on FB, I accepted, I didn't like his posts, and he would like every picture I put up of Keri, and sometimes send me pm's about the picture. Donnie doesn't see bad in anyone, and he didn't like the vibe he was getting from this guy. I didn't like how he would always be touching Keri, and some of the other girls. We decided not long after the season started that Keri would never be alone with him. At the 3v3 tournament the other weekend, after Keri got the elbow in the eye I was holding her, she had her head in my chest crying, I had my arms around her, and he came over and put his hands on her shoulders and tried to pull her to him. Um I dont' think so. I took her to the ladies room and got her settled down. I don't like him Last night was her end of season pizza party at the local pizza shop in town. There is a party room, where they were, the doors were open, Caleb and I got a table outside even though other parents were in the party room. His email said you could drop your daughter off and pick her up later. I wasn't doing that. Towards the end of the evening one of the moms that I like, and she knows how I feel, came out and sat with me. When he was leaving he stopped for a minute and she said something to him, but I didn't. Edited to add that this person has been in prison, I do not know for how long, or what offense, but I was told at a softball clinic that he wanted to coach last year and when a background check was done he was not permitted to coach and he threw a fit. I'm not sure how he was permitted to coach basketball, and I will be looking into that. I just got an email from him asking if he upset me. He said he noticed I didn't really want to associate/talk to him, and he wanted to know if he did something to upset or anger me. Do/should I respond? If so, how? Sorry that was so long, but my gut just says DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY. And I'm not going to second guess my gut on something like this. Edited by ironannekidd 2013-03-14 10:22 AM |

Pro 4482 NJ | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Ann, you're a smart lady. Trust your gut. At the very least, he uses poor judgement in his interactions with young girls. Frankly, in today's world I don't think groups of young girls or boys should be left alone with an individual adult (male or female). Probably true in the past as well, we just didn't have the same level of awareness. As to whether or how to respond to his question....others will have better ideas than I do there. I'd be inclined to confront the issue with a conversation, nothing in email. Ask him for coffee. Tell him you don't like the way he touches the girls and that it's inappropriate. I people off regularly. Don't care. |
