I tell ya women have memories like elephants.  I would have a Twinkitar, BUT no ONE ever answered my plea on how to change it (you will find that in the same thread).  So there!!

Looks like a great team to me.  The spreadsheet will be a bit weird...LOL.

That's right - you did ask - my bad, I thought someone had answered

hey everyone - glad to see that the mosc sisters are together on one team. as of now, i don't think there's a mosc15 - our youngest sister is mosc26 and hasn't checked in on BT for a while since evacuating to northern california because of the wildfires. if she checks in, i hope she will join the challenge as well.

i'm fine tuning my goals here:

60 miles running

9 hours strength training

4 spin classes

9,000 yards swimming

i'm also going to include a nutrition goal - to eat oatmeal for breakfast at least four times a week - i have a slight cholesterol issue that i'm trying to work out on my own.

Hmm...I thought that was just a Minnesota thing...apparently it's said in NC as well...

Edit to add:  This is like the beginning of a new school year...waiting until Nov 1st the 1st day of school to find out who's on your team in your class.  Ooh...I hope I don't get picked last for dodgeball...(btw, I DID make my October goal...hee, hee...)...

1stTimeTri - 2007-10-23 4:28 PM My goal is to watch all the November Heroes episodes uninterrupted. That's a good goal, isn't it?

Okay, since ell-in-or requested to be joined up with me, I need to commit to something that is a little bit more of a challenge.

I have 4 nights a week for youth basketball practice, which then halts my evening training.  Wife is up early (5:15 a.m.) and I have to take care of the kids and dog in the morning.  Sooooo, what can I do for November?

Let me think about that one for one more day and I'll get back to ya.  I have a possible thought of 2 lunch hour runs where I need to run 2 miles at sub-7 pace, or a Sunday long run needs to be at least a 10 miler under 90 minutes.

If it's not to late, you can add another first timer to the list.

Goals for Nov:

Run - 50 miles (hopefully this will be ok if I can just keep up what I've been doing)

Bike - 200 miles (may need to find an old trainer)

Swim - 2,000 yds (This one will be tough, need to find a pool, find the money to join and find the time to make myself go. If I can do that a may start to learn how to swim)

Not much compared to some, but would be a good challenge for me to stay motivated.

As I don't really know anybody it doesn't matter the group. Just looking to get more involved with BT as I love the site so far.

You just may have hit the nail on the head, fellow Donk-ster!  Now, I should give you reviewer permissions so that you can schedule the "meeting" in my Exchange calendar and have it set for a 15-minute reminder.  What would make it cool is if I can find a donk bray WAV file sound clip and change the reminder sound to that.  Watcha say?

Guess I forgot to update the spreadsheet. Jason is in WI, right? (I learned that you're in WA when you and Steve were trying to find an event located between the two of you, and settled on OR.)

Not that it matters - you're going to be with Steve and Jason --> because you motivate the stuffing out of one another. (Who's going to hit their goals first this time? Shall we have a competition within the competition again?)

To all the people still joining --> Nope! It's not too late to sign up. The challenge won't start until Thursday.

I'll enter all your goals into the spreadsheet tonight. (And work some more on setting up teams. Last's night conversation with the Dead messed it all up... Wait, that just doesn't sound right, does it? I spoke with the Dead last night.... LOL! Ah well, you guys know who you all are.)

Hi Tom,

Nope, it's not too late. I'll add you to the spreadsheet tonight.

Don't worry about how your goals compare to anyone else's. The real point of the challenge is to challenge YOURSELF. And the teams will help keep you motivated.

Yep, this site is a lot of fun, isn't it? Be forewarned - it can become a bit addictive. Not that I know about that! Hahahaha

Welcome to the Nov Challenge,

Thanks,
Just got started on labor day after about 20 yrs of doing nothing. So far it's all good. I'm kind of getting use to the fact that everytime I walk up stairs my legs may fail. I'm starting to see where trying to figure out how to find time for all (3) is a BIG challenge.

Here's to staying motivated!
