Allright, kids, little bad news here. This morning I went to spin class, and had an unfortunate collisioin between my undercarriage and a poorly designed spin bike. After 3 hours in the ER, they pronounced me fit, but are telling me to lay low on the workout thing for a few days. So I've got to take their advice.

I'll pro-rate my goals for the portion of the month I'm down. Dammit.

Sheesh Rick, I hope the spin bike is OK your body doesn't have any identifiable bruises.  Rest up buddy and bounce back even stronger!

I updated the google spreadsheet with my totals for the first long week.  Basically I'm ahead of the game, meeting at least 41% of each of my goals so far.  Except for the kissing bit, in which I'm already at 123% of my goal, so I guess I should increase that a bit!  I'll make an adjustment soon.  Here's a brief rundown of my totals so far.  The body weight is included for my own information and is not part of the challenge:

It can be a bit weird Robin.  I found that things like the excel column width do not necessarily stay put when cutting and pasting to the forum.  You might have to expand the width of columns so that it doesn't compress them too tightly and restrict the data.  Also, the forum won't copy other formatting commands like centering and things like that.  Not sure what specific issues you had, but these are some of the things I've run up against.

Notice in the top row of my last chart post, the "5 For Fighting" was centered on my spreadsheet in its cell, but shows up here as left side format.  The same with all my numbers.

Managed to get another long cycle in and as a result have blasted past my total already. I will up the target, not yet settled on what my new target will be.

I hope you are not to bad Rick. Undercarriage collisions can bring a tear to your eye.
Stay strong everyone.

I might save up my drinking units for a big blast this coming weekend. Scotland play Italy in their final qualifying game, if we beat the world champions we are through. It's as easy as that.

Hey gang,

Not a great weekend for me- my son was admitted to hospital and we're still here. I put an update in my training blog.

Puts me behind a bit behind with the training and I havent updated the spreadsheet yet, but there's nothing like watching your child struggle to breathe, to put things in perspective

I hope to get him home today/tomorrow, just send us positive thoughts- we are all exhausted!

Sally

Hi all,

Here are our numbers for week 1.  It's looking pretty good to me.  Let's really work hard to harass inspire each other this week, and reach our goals.

Please check and make sure that I have it marked correctly...I tend to invert numbers.  Let me know if I need to change anything.  Keep on cranking out the workouts...

Hmmm...your spreadsheet link seems to not reflect the totals that I see on the google spreadsheet.  Here are my totals so far through Sunday (I didn't include yesterday's workout) so let me know if that's what you have listed for me.

KissingOnce Per Day837

These numbers are the same that I posted on the google page, along with the percentages which are:

Trainer/Road/MTB Hours:  41.67%
Sit Ups:  41.50%
Walking/Running Mileage:  45.00%
Kissing:  123.33%

OK, I know...I need to increase my goal on the kissing

I think not everyone is directly posting to the googledocs page and I'm wondering if the link you are using to get there is the latest link?  I know if I click on a link that was in a previous post, it doesn't bring me to the latest updates.

Are you certain you will be able to ride that new bike in a straight line?  We'd hate to see you be the first person arrested for "cycling under the influence".  Now that would be one for the record books!!

You're doing a better job than I would at this.  Sometimes we don't realize how much actual time is spent collecting data, typing it all into a spreadsheet, posting the results, etc.  The least we can do is buy you dinner next time you're in town!!

Maybe you need to hit refresh? You could be pulling up old info. It looks ok on my computer though. (For me - All the teams results are there, and I just added them tonight.)

Here's what I have for you:
hours bike trainer - completed 7 (23%)
miles walking/running - completed 12.5 (25%)
sit ups - completed 195 (20%)
kisses for my wife - completed 17 (57%)

Is that not right?

It's what's in the spreadsheet that I received on the main Challenge thread.

Dee
