mchally - 2008-09-19 5:48 PM I still have that data base ? It is in Excel '03

I don't know how to do that. I know how to do pretty basic things, but I try not to use it too much. It's not really a database. I'd probably be more help with a database question.

Is it a spread sheet instead? All I know is that I am entering a ton of data.

Yep.  Access is closer to a database, although it really isn't (if you want to get into theory).

I got my Infinit custom nutrition in the mail just in time for my long run tomorrow!  I'm having a glass now.  It tastes a little strange, but I think it will be better when I am running and want the salt and protein.

I know a few people here who use it and they love it.  And I've heard they have great customer service and will really help you get exactly the right blend.

dunno.  I have protein in mine, but that is entirely optional.  I don't know about gluten.  It seems to be pretty simple sugars and you can change the carbs.

You could call on Monday.

I've never tried Infinit.

I only read Mila's post. I have not randomly looked back to see what else I've missed - as I know that when I'm not here, Nibbs doesn't exist. Or maybe it's just that I don't exist when I'm not here. Yeah, that's it. I'm a figment of my own imagination.

Well, it was pretty fun to just randomly pick pages and read a few posts.  So far I got that Kristen stops being a mommy at 8:00 and that Sugar Daddy drank half of her wine  .  Judi hit 3,000 posts and Sal dropped in because he thought he heard the word cheesecake.

I'll let you know if I glean any other pearls of wisdom.

Yes and no.  I think it's a great product, the customer service is phenomenal and I love the individualization of it.  I formulated it so that I didn't have to take in additional calories and I think if I were to use it on a long run (ummm, you know, if I ran much) it would be perfect.  The problem is that on a  long bike I discovered that I missed having real food.  I am not sure if it's just the change or a comfort factor or what.  So basically I now use Infinit for a certain percentage of my ride.  If I'm riding 4-5 hours I might use Inifnit for my calories/electrolytes/etc. for 3 of those hours but supplement with Trader Joe's peanut butter filled pretzels halfway.  In my next order, which will be soon, I'll probably dial back the strength of the flavor as well as the caloric content.

Trying to decide how I should do my long run tomorrow:

a) 3 loops of the same path (6 miles each)

b) 3 loops of different length (10.4, 1.5, 6)

Either way I end up going on lots of the same roads, although option b gives me a lot different section.  With option a it will be easy to stop at the car to get more water, food, etc.

I'm just scared about whimping out and scared of this run in general.  I'm not sure which way stopping early is more likely.

Well its weighing up the nutrition versus the temptation to stop at the car... can you run 10.4 without needing to stop for water etc?
