how is it that you are a Phillies fan?

Well I kinda liked them as a kid because of their then mascots Phil and Philes, but mostly it's because I lived in northern PA from late 2000 till last June.  At the time the Phillies Triple A minor league team was in Scranton so I was able to start following a lot of young players.  A mojority of which are currently on the team.

Before I really followed the Phills I watched the Oreols, and before them the Dodgers. 

Game is going into the Ninth.  Their closer is coming out to pitch.

so, you now have sort of a personal connection - your love of baseball, getting to know a team, and how much fun to watch a triple A minor team come up into the majors - if you love the sport, my guess is, it can't get much better!

Go Phillies!

Yeah, unfortunately the minor league team moved to Allentown.  However the Yankees minor league team moved into Scranton.  So I was able to convince the team to give me a team jersey signed by a bunch of the players that are now in the NY Yankees.

Only one more out needed.

Just checking in quickly.

I finished up work here. Tomorrow morning I will fly back and I am looking forward to it. It was fun, but after three years in the U.S. it's more home to me right now than Germany. That's odd, I lived here most of my life.

Also, odd that our time as team comes to an end.... How fast October flew past hmmmm? ;-)

Anyways, I'll take off to get some biking in and then I also have to start packing and of course check in with the thread... October and November challenge! ;-)

I'm still here I miss the Dark Arts already. I really didn't want this challenge to end, but alas it seems to be....

I still have my remaining miles to do either tonight or tomorrow depending on how insane work is. That will get me to 100% of goal and I'll be all set for the mary on Sunday!

Once she asks to be on a team, but we currently have one more than everybody else.  Trying to keep it even I may need to shuffle somebody.
