What happens to us? :sadface I was wondering that myself It's my hope to keep the group going. I'm keeping my eye out for the annoucement that they are looking for mentors to sign up. If you see it first - let me know. Or better yet - one of you can sign up to be a mentor. Although - I'm not following Alex anywhere. I'm liable to end up on a beach in florida with a sun burn |

Expert 4269 | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed For me, next week has got to be about getting back on track. Last year, I went through rough patches - I just refused to let anything stop me. This year, my back, the crap at work and the subsequent job search, plus a lot of other ticky tack stuff is just getting in the way. My priority has got to be to do something about my back. I finally got the doc to proscribe me some serious meds so I'm not in pain all the time but I need to make it my goal to put a plan in place to get my back on the road to recovery. I have aggravated the two slipped disks and I've got shooting pain down my butt and into my legs... One of the days suggested a good chiro and I'm going to schedule an appointment. Last year, I spared no expense to make my goals happen. I need to do the same to fix my back. Frustrated. But I'm gonna work on getting it better and go from there. Hope everyone has a good week. |

Extreme Veteran 2098 Alberta | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Well here is hoping sand, beer, ocean, beer, pool, beer is just what the doctor ordered to fix my physical and mental problems. Arrive in Orlando at 11:34pm Tuesday night. First 6pk of trip purchased at 12am at Walgreens right by hotel for first night. Clearwater beach next day after a stop at the Pearl Izumi outlet store for hopefully a couple pair of tri shorts! |

Expert 4269 | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed So far today - I'm on pace to finish at my caloric goal for the day... and chocolate hasn't touched my lips for the first time in two weeks. I also got on the bike for 25 minutes and made an appointment at the chiropractor. If I stay good, I'm gonna celebrate by trying the imperial IPA I just put on tap. The ABV should come in at around 12% Have a good week everyone |

Expert 4269 | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Wow - slow day on the BDAS... today y'all must be feeling like I did last week... I managed to finish the day under the calorie count for the first time in 11 days... unfortunately the homebrewed Imperial IPA was flat due my CO2 running out. Gonna have to make sure I get that fixed ASAP... This morning was one of those mornings... I had woken up at 3am with a headache that was heading towards a migraine and I gobbled down some advil hoping it would go away by the time the alarm went off at 4:45. No such luck... It was better but still throbbing. My first thought was to hit the snooze and go back to sleep but the pi$$ed off side of me said, "F that fat boy... get your butt out of bed. No excuses." I haven't heard "that voice" for a while. It was the voice that was crucial in my weight loss journey last year. Cynthia actually has a name for her voice - but mine is a mix between the drill instructor from Full Metal Jacket and my older brother... So, I got up, sucked down some more meds, and headed out the door. My head was still hurting as I ran for 20 minutes on the treadmill and swam for 15 in the pool but the workout was done and I felt pretty good about myself for the first time in a while. Last year, I was on a roll and I need to keep heading in that direction. I hope y'all are fighting the good fight unlike Thor and Alex who are probably lying on a beach in Florida as we speak working on their tans... Alex is probably doing fine but I would imagine that Thor's canadian bacon is well on its way to burning... Don't forget the sunscreen buddy! |

I think Thor brought the cold with him to FL. I have to send him a pm to find out how far south he will be to try and link up for a drink with the families. I'm going to back on the boards now that my father just left from his visit with us. Too bad my son only gets to see him once a year. Flat beer.... |

Extreme Veteran 968 Cape Coral, FL | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed It is now high noon. 2 hours to go and I get my first therapeutic massage. I feel like a giddy little school girl and hope this will help with some of the tendonitis issues. I took the advise from everyone and set up a fitting for my pedals and seat, can't swing the rest yet so I'll do that next month. |

Extreme Veteran 968 Cape Coral, FL | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Home from massage and I came to conclusion that I need to hit lotto so I can do this a few times per week This was my first time and won't be the last. My knees have zero pain and aren't tight at all anymore. MRI for Friday and back to ortho the following week then I'm 100% sure I will be running again. Going to have my BT coach set up my runs so I don't screw it up and end up with an overuse injury again. |

Expert 4269 | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed four hours after my last post and I am tipsy... Just enjoyed several beers including some home brew (the imperial IPA is still flat), Pumking (out of southern tier), Ould Geuze Barrell aged, and Heady topper.... ahh the joys of being buzzed. Need to get to sleep so I can do yoga in the morning followed by a bike in the afternoon. God I love beer! Night all |
