We are the champions!

Go Phils!

I was very excited to be able to finish watching the game (was worried it'd go too late).

I was a baby the first time they won, so it was nice to see!

I got my butt outta bed this morning and finished my challenge goal.

Whew!

I really, really didn't want to leave the house when it was dark and 20 degrees outside, but I got to the gym and went on the treadmill. My legs were a little shot, but I got 'er done.

Also I took a week off to rest my Achilles, but I did not take a pass for that in the challenge and made it anyway.

Thanks everyone for all the inspiration -- I'm going to miss this challenge! Waaaaah!

Got 3.1 done this morning.  I have about 5 miles left.  Headed back to the Y this afternoon for swimming lessons for Cole so I'll hit the treadmill again.  Kind of want to run while Liam is at school too.  Thinking about running naked too....I need to think some things over and burn off a bit of stress!

Offthegrid - 2008-10-29 9:35 AM Do you all find treadmill much harder than outdoors? Last night's workout was tough!

that is why it is fondly referred t as the "dreadmill"!!....I find the time goes much easier and faster outside, even when there are hills...on the treadmill, I am constantly looking at the distance and time!

You must still be a baby!  I remember what bar I was in for the last World Series win in 1980!!!!

Crap - I'm 1.5km off completeting my running goal for this month and I wasn't able to run this morning. I got some stomach pain during the night and running was not going to feel good so I gave it a miss. I had my gall bladder taken out 8 years ago and occasionally I'll get these pains associated with it. Oh well. I managed to complete 98% of my goal this month so thats pretty good!

I got bitten by a dog yesterday! Big, nasty Shepherd. It was muzzled but still managed to get a good nip at my elbow despite it. Luckily its not deep, mainly a laceration, I don't think I'll need antibiotics. And my first thought was - am I still going to be able to ride aero this weekend? LOL!

Sef & I are painting the house. I was painting the doors last night with oil-based paint and now my legs are covered in it. Its such a pain to get off, you need turpentine! I think I have some in my hair as well

Nice!  I'm a messy painter.  Not that I paint much but I always seem to get it all over me.

I'm making cupcake pops for Cole's class tomorrow.  Ugh.  What a chore to do at 9:40 at night.  I am hungry too so I just want to eat them all.  They look like this except they are orange:

LOL!!!  I'm sorry about the bite and glad it's not serious... but that really is funny.  I would have had a similar reaction!

eurydice79 - 2008-10-30 3:59 AM Pumpkin Martinis? Wow It seems that pumpkin can be added to everything. I had no idea how much I was missing out on until I joined this thread! Pumpkin coffee, pumpkin fudge, and now pumpkin booze! LOL.

I had a home made pumpkin pizza last night with pine nuts and Fetta cheese. Courtesy of hubby. He is the best

Well there you go, that's one *I* hadn't heard of! Pumpkin pizza? Hmm, interesting. Was it a normal pizza crust? Was the sauce like pesto instead of tomato? I'm all intrigued now.

You've never had pumpkin in pizza before? OMG! Its easy - just chop up the pumpkin into little cubes and roast it (coat it in some honey and olive oil before roasting). Then get a pizza base, use pizza sauce or I guess pesto would be good too, crumble over some feta cheese, pine nuts, herbs, salt, pepper, cheese and then bake for about 20 mins! Voila!

I think anything can be made into a pizza topping

I love pizza with spinach, artichoke hearts, feta and banana peppers on it.

That sounds yummy! I love artichoke. What are banana peppers?
