Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() If it's as simple as sarcasm, a whole lot of people would be gone. I agree, people are too sensitive. I appreciate bluntness! |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Low cadence intervals on the bike this morning & run later this morning. I can't put off the run until this afternoon, because it is way too hot here right now. I took 3 showers yesterday! |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() As for the the thread that ultimately got Bryan banned from this site.....well, he only said aloud what many of us were thinking (who cares about the stupid mdot tattoo.....why in the hell was that even a poll?). |

Expert ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Swam a mile and ran 2.5 this morning. The swim felt AWESOME. I kept thinking where was this form on race day? Of course the lake was glass and there was only one other swimmer in the water. The run, OMG did the quads still hurt. Icing as we speak. So having my first HIM under my belt I have my goal for Pumpkinman. At least 5 seconds faster with a minimum of one second per segment. The bike is harder by all accounts so that will be the hardest one to pull off but I'm assuming on the little lake this one is one I won't have a sore back like I did for Patriot so it's completely doable. My swim realistically on a smooth pond should be no worse than 3 minutes faster but as long as it's faster I don't care. 90's here today so glad it was short and early. Enjoy the day everybody. |

Because people need validation for decisions they're uncomfortable with. Honestly I'm amazed and somewhat frustrated. Was Bryan blunt, somewhat confrontational, very stubborn, sarcastic and snarky at times? Yes to all, but isn't that life? He always had solid reasoning to back up his stance and that's really all you can ask for. If he were being an ahole for the sake of being an ahole that would be different.
I feel like a truck hit me today. Started feeling this way last night and got up to see if a workout may get my body back on track. Nope. Grrrr!!! |

I feel like a truck hit me today. Started feeling this way last night and got up to see if a workout may get my body back on track. Nope. Grrrr!!! Exactly. I don't get the need for validation about something as simple as a tattoo, but that's just me. Sorry you feel sick. Hope it's nothing major and you're back on track in no time. |

Get lots of rest. ***I was thinking about some of the comments I made about that thread while I was running. I think I am being overly judgmental, and I apologize for that. I need to learn to keep my opinions to myself sometimes |

It is just to dang hilly around here haha. Hope to get a nice run in this evening...we shall see... Scott hope you aren't coming down with anything major! Have a great day everyone! |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() We all ask what others might think are silly or stupid questions, everyone of us at some point in time. M-Dot tattoos are important to some people. It signifies a major accomplishment. Some want to shout it out loud. Bluntness and being direct are OK, in my mind, as long are you are not calling people stupid or dumb ... especially publicly. That crosses the line in my mind. Brian has always backed up everything he has said, but he borders that line alot ... I actually find him quite funny most of the time MIght try to go to the OW swim tonight ... in the 90's here and water temp in mid-80's so I shouldn't be cold, but means water may be nasty and smell something fierce. Think anyone will notice me swimming with a pull buoy |

Expert ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I did the same 16.21 double loop I did Tuesday this morning. It was 25 degrees warmer this morning and yet at the same average heart rate I did better than a mile per hour faster at less perceived effort and pain. The legs still felt dead going up the few small hills there are on this by the beach course but compared to Tuesday I felt great. |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I was up all night long coughing.....ALL NIGHT. I threw up because I coughed so hard. Got about 4 hours of sleep broken up. When my alarm went off at 5, I shut it off. I never do that! Guess I thought what's the point of doing these training sessions if I can't get any sleep and recover from them? Good thing I have a babysitter coming later. I was supposed to run errands during my "free time," but now it looks like I have to do hill repeats and a swim instead. My husband said he won't install our a/c window units upstairs because "he's tired of doing it every year." My kids are up all night long, crying and whining because they can't sleep in this heat. I'm so mad right now. Couldn't even say goodbye to him as he left this morning. Sooo.....I have to try to install these things myself. How to do this? I don't know....off to google. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Congrats Steve - that's great news. Jen - you should rest! (Don't have any advice on the window a/c installation.) Our house is so darn big we have 2 a/c's. The only one working is the upstairs one (where our bedroom is). The other one, which is for the main floor and basement, breaks down every year. Repair guy came the other day and he said he can't repair it, it needs replacing. So, we are trying to hold out, didn't plan on that expense this year. It's miserable on the main floor. Basement is tolerable, but since we canceled the satellite we are never down there. My Dad and step mom are coming for a week visit starting this Saturday. They are going to be in for a shocker with no a/c. We'll see how long I can last this summer... |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Got the Stitches out of my hand yesterday from my crash, and hit the pool this morining after no swimming for 12 days felt good 3100 yards!! 1 hour run this afternoon it will be about 90 degress when I go nothing like a good sweat. I am glad we are experienceing this heat and humidity because it is allowing me to see what happens to my HR if for some reason it is 90 and humid in LP. On a scary note I got another front tire flat at 22mph yesterday no crash but it scared me to death afetr the crash I had. |
