I know, that sucks.

It makes it really expensive to go home to visit. We're working up the numbers now for a trip in July and it has literally doubled from 3 years ago.

I don't have a problem with people having school paid for... as long as they're not bratty about it. My buddy had his paid for, and all he does is complain. That drives me insane.

I guess my thing is that I get annoyed by people who automatically say "oh you had xyz paid for, for you - you're such a spoiled brat". Esp. if they didn't come from a particularly poor family. There were plenty of kids in my town who went to state schools because their parents spent all the money on family vacations to Florida every year (seriously, who NEEDS to go to Disney every summer), etc and didn't have money left for a private college. It's called priorities...I don't feel "entitled" to much of anything. I don't make a lot of money - I invest what I do have in quality things that last, but I'm not irresponsible with my money - I could give you examples of people who are that way - like my one roommate. I love her, but she has NO sense of that sort of thing. She went to boarding school, college was paid for by Daddy, the doctor. (She did pay for grad school though) She is several thousand dollars in debt and doesn't see that spending $100 on a cotton dress by Juicy is irresponsible! And she doesn't take good care of the things she has, ya know? It's not my place to say anything and so I don't, but it really irks me that because I also happen to have some nice things, people automatically assume that I'm spoiled. I get nice crap for holidays or birthday, otherwise, I buy it myself - and that is rare.

I saw Resident Evil 3 last night.  It was bad.  No surprises there.

However, it was fun to look at the details of "Las Vegas" reclaimed by the desert.  They didn't do too bad a job.  Everything looked like it was where it should have been, and to the right scale....

Chainlove and I have a love/hate relationship. I always wanna see what's next... but I never want it to be something I want because I don't NEED anything. However, when it's something I DON'T want... I'm disappointed.

Have I dated you?

ok, sorry to butt in but had to get this off my chest. i work with a woman who thinks she is totally entitled to everything and anything. if she sees another person receive a gift, win a prize, get chosed for an award, etc. she wants to know where her's is or why she wasn't chosen. it drives me crazy. the world does not owe her anything. she can't just be happy for the other person. ok. my rant is over. talk amongst yourselves again!

True dat.

I wonder what training I should do tonight... I usually just wing it based on whatever time I have available. If my wife has to work tonight it will probably just end up being intervals on the elliptical for an hour, though.

I almost don't look anymore.  My biggest fear is Chainlove having SUCH a good deal on something I don't need, that I'm going to have to buy it.

I almost had to get the $70 oakley sunglasses yesterday just because, darn it, they were $70 dollars!!!!  I already have a pair of that model....
