QueenZipp - 2008-11-13 12:30 PM I just emailed pictures of the Blue to my friend. The same girl who helped me get the road bike a year or so ago.  My husband gave her so much grief about the $$ we spent on the roadie--ha, he spent a whoole lot more!

Sounds like your hubby is starting to 'get it'

He's really supportive in a lot of ways.  Since I switched jobs he's done most of the cooking since he's home before me.  Last summer he would hold dinner or whatever to make sure I got my run in after work.

He doesn't enjoy race days, gets bored waiting around and hasn't volunteered for anything.  But, he helps keep track of splits and is great about things like loading/unloading gear.  Takes good pictures for me

What more could yuo want???? Id love to not have to think about cooking when I get home! And good pictures is excellent!!!

Thats great!

Yeah, He's really great.  Definitely a big supporter even if he is bored at race day   He goes to most of them and it is a huge sacrifice when he has to rearrange his school work. (one more year till his masters is done)

Thanks everyone for all the birthday well wishes.

And, I have a um, rather tasteless joke posted on my blog right now for the curious...

Yes you do.  Tasteless but funny.

How things change.

Yeah, I took a 2 week payout on my vacation time to buy the road bike and he fusses I spent too much money.  Then he goes and spends 2 months (or more) mortgage on a race bike for me.  I never would have done that.

Oooh I wonder if I can get some of my vacation time paid out....

A lot of companies here offer that at some time in the year.  If yours has a cap on how much you're allowed to accumulate it's a good way to avoid not earning any new--and you could as a bonus look more seriously at some of the gear you've been looking at.

Put it aside for that bike I really really want.....

If you could buy a good boy for $3000AUS, would you shelve the bike?

Well that would be less than I want to spend on my next bike... but I dont know... the good boys seem to turn into not so great ones pretty fast...

And if they are so cheap.. well I doubt they would last

Nothing wrong with average looking men.    I think they're a whole lot more interesting that men who preen all the time.

I miss my kids watching Sesame Street.  It's really produced on 2 levels so the adults can get some of the other side comments.
