Another winter brew last night.  10 Below, from Scuttlebutt.  Another outstanding choice.  This one is at 7.4 % ABV which is a welcomed treat.

Workouts are going well.  Still under the weather, physically, and that sucks.

Looks like you are still killin' the workouts! keep it up! I am dying, reading about all these beers you are trying! Damn you!Smile

Sorry to hear of this.  Gonna try a new IPA out from Stone brewery down in San Diego.  Hoping it's a real treat.  I'm still in this winter brew mood however, so will continue to indulge in them.

6.2 miler tomorrow.  Hoping to match or beat last weeks effort.  Probably has a little to do with how much brew is had tonight.

Stay thirsty beer drinkers.

David, you have a race this weekend.  2:29 or bust?

Last night - I enjoyed an imperial IPA made by my friend's brewery and a stone levitation... I was unimpressed with the Stone - which is suprising because I usually love their beers.

Tomorrow - my buddies and I are gonna brew a beer that I'm sure Kevin will make fun of me for - a Chocolate Mint Icebeer - Gonna make it with Chocolate Nibs, real mint, and lactose... Might suck, but then again, it might be delicious.

Stay Thirsty!

Good luck tomorrow with your run...Hopefully, the beer will kill all the germs that have been bringing you down.

Yep - I've got a HM on Sunday.  Having tweaked my knee - I've done little to prepare for it and that's ok.  I feel like I've accomplished everything I set out to do this year, so this race is kind of like the last few days of school - I don't really want to go, but I know I have to get it done.

That said, I'm gonna crush 2:29... Crush it.

Finally broke the no workout on Saturday streak and hopped on my bike for a sweat pooling hour. Watched a PVR'd tv show. Instead of skipping through the commercials I made them hill climbs. Worked out pretty good!

6.2 miler done.  it was my first run of the year in freezing temps.  20 degrees this morning.  i think that's like -3 celcius or something like that for our friends up north.  I had an appendage freeze up. Frown Good reminder to dress appropriately for the temps.  I didn't come close to my goal.  barely under 8:00 miles.  oh well, still battling the crud.  Hard to breath through a nose full of snot.

Now to more important things.  The Stone IPA= everything an IPA should taste like.  This little gem stone is out of San Diego, and I picked it up at a national chain store that just opened up called Wine and more.  Well this store is like the Disneyland of beer drinkers.  6 double isles of beer.  David, I may be able to find some of your favorites (no fruit) in this place.

Get out there and get a workout in.

Got a 3 miler in at 6:34/mi pace.  that makes for a good week of running with almost 22 miles logged and better paces than I've seen since the summer.

Next weeks goals are to improve upon pace while keeping milage above 20 miles per week.  I'd like to get in 2 swims and 2 bikes each week with some core workouts on those days.  Another goal is to drop 2 pounds.  will weigh myself tomorrow morning before my run.

What ever it takes to get through a trainer workout... You know what would really help - chocolate mint chip beer.  Gonna be good...

Sorry to hear that you froze your appendage off... that's never good.  But you still got out there and got it done and that means no coors light for you.

Stone is one of my favorite breweries and they know how to make one damn fine IPA.  With their high ABV's - they are the perfect thing to keeo you warm on these cold winter days.  Oh, speaking of cold - it was a balmy 60 here today.

Your beer store sounds like a great place.  A little closeminded - but you can't go wrong with 6 aisles or IPAs...

Last Fri,sat,sun,mon training: 0,0,0,0.

This past weekend, training on every day, 2 bikes, 2 runs, setting up the week nice and back on track for monthly goals! weight loss took a bit of a hit last nite. Went for  thin crust gourmet pizza and ended up at a wing place...bad chickens swimming in the deep fryer like that. Bad poutine....oh well hopefully not too bad!

Have a great week everyone!
