Elite 4583 | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! econway - 2010-11-29 10:22 AM I love that the wrestling team is so into it. I coach several girls soccer teams and think that much of the Insanity program would benefit my soccer players, especially the older girls who need speed/agility improvements. Yeah, it's so fun to work out with them! I bet Insanity would help with the speed/agility. |

Expert 803 MD | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! too funny. how long did you sleep on the yoga mat? I'm not a morning person either, but evenings are too full with kids' homework, etc that by the time I'm free to work out it's way too late. So I'm forced to get up at 5:30 for the workouts. It does feel good when you're done and you start off work knowing you already got in a workout for the day. But, I often find myself feeling drowsy in the afternoons. If only my employer would pay for me to workout as much as I want, any time I please. Maybe I should change jobs and become the next Shawn T. (BTW - Cardio Power and Resistance this a.m. Last night got into the pool first time in a very long time, did 1700 yds and felt way stronger than I expected - I think it's a nice side effect of the Insanity workouts.) |

I'm 23 and have a supportive gf so evenings are no problem for me, just wanted to get it out of the way so i could spend more time with her but she'll be busy with her english papers and what not. |

Regular 104 | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! a half marathon dressed as elvis?! AWESOME! I am in week three day 2, LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. My biking and running have suffered a bit though, since I only have mornings for that kind of exercise....but I keep telling myself, mid january, I'll be done with insanity, but truthfully, I'll never be done with insanity, this is one of those awesome workouts (like buns of steel :P) that will be in my collection indefinately!! I rearranged the living room for the christmas tree and now my exercise space is even smaller lol. I even did some jump tests to make sure none of the ornaments would fall off and break during the speedy jumping jacks or the power jumps. |

Veteran 183 Colleyville, TX | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! Plyo Cardio last night after I got home from work...pretty damn good work out, went through about two water bottles and a couple of breathers, definitely gonna be good the body. My legs are pretty sore this morning which is a good sign! And I'm glad Shaun T isn't as annoying as Tony Horton was and it was kinda funny to see the people in the background take breaks and look exhausted. |

I like the fact that these workouts are extreme, but even better you can ease into it or jump in and out when your toast... I went back through and started reading all the posts and I can def relate to this today. |

Expert 803 MD | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! Yeah, I kind of like Shaun T - I don't find him annoying even after doing the same workouts several times over. As for the people in the DVD workout taking breaks and looking beat - it is pretty funny, but there's no question that they are all very fit. Shaun makes little comments to them to give you an idea about their background; one is a spin instructor, one is a marathoner, etc. Several of them are fitness professionals of one type or another. Seeing them get beat down by the workout just goes to show that this style of interval training can apply to people in a wide range of fitness levels. Thus I don't ever expect to 'outgrow' the Insanity workouts. As fitness level increases, you can increase your own intensity to match and still get a killer workout using these exercises. On another note, imagine if Shaun T partnered with the Kinect/XBox 360 folks and produced a Kinect version of Insanity? The sensor could monitor your form and tell you when your form is bad, count and store how many exercises you complete within intervals, and track your progress over the 63 day cycle. Shaun could even yell at you by name when your butt is too high on the Level 1 Drills or when you need to go faster on the 1-2-3 Heismans..... That would be pretty cool. |

This is what I've noticed on my 2nd time through...it doesn't get any easier. I'm much more fit during this round, so I can push harder and I still finish exhausted and dripping with sweat. The Kinect idea is great! |

Expert 803 MD | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! Last night I was scheduled to do Cardio Recovery but I was feeling good after a brief run, so I did the Max Recovery instead. I liked it, but it sure works you hard for a 'recovery' workout! Today was Pure Cardio. Tomorrow I'm running a 5K with my 13 yr old daughter (her first ever) so I'll either skip the insanity or do it tomorrow evening. Depends on how much pain I'm in (haven't been running much and Insanity is making my calfs and Achilles ache). |

Two different times during hill repeats they cramped so bad I couldn't run for about a week each time. Have fun with your daughter! I've done a 5K with my 11 year old daughter. It's so much fun! |

I started running two years, almost three years ago, cause my father passed away from a heart attack and diabetes so I vowed to be healthy. It's so awesome and nice to see families that run and be healthy together! Edited by rdub 2010-12-03 1:52 PM |

Elite 4583 | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! That is one heckuva tattoo! Beautiful!!! I'm doing Plyo Cardio Circuit tonight with my boys. My legs are pretty beat up from the 1/2 marathon I did yesterday. I train 100% on dirt road/hard packed trail and the race was 100% on pavement (down the Las Vegas Strip!) so they're feeling some pain! I'm hoping Insanity will loosen them up. For the rest of the month I'm doing whatever workout I want...I have a feeling it'll be a running workout of some kind and then an Insanity workout of some kind. I have the Insanity Upper Body Strength DVD---it's flippin' hard...I'll throw that in once or twice a week as well. Edited by ingleshteechur 2010-12-06 4:10 PM |
