Hit the beach and did a little Kenyan Outback tonight. Did 10 miles with electronic pacing.

Did the first 5 at a comfortably hard pace and then kicked up the return trip with the intent of running a negative split. (And a negative split it was)

Now at: 108/250 - 43%

Team: 33:45

2000 yd swim and a quick 4.1 miles on the indoor track.  At 34%, a little behind the 41% we should be at...

Now trying for sympathy huh.....

I'm at 45 % -- right on schedule

O.K. den...here's another sympathy plea...

1 hour spin, high RPMs (>95).  3.33 miles on the dreadmill.  Two mile repeats at marathon pace minus 30 sec (8:27s).

So look at your training log, your at your running schedule, and ask yourself, "How can I push to hit that goal!" Challenge yourself!!!

Today, I got my long run in for the week. Weather was frightful ice, snow then 2" of rain. I tried to push it back  until tomorrow but my coach encouraged me to suck it up (but in a nicer way) and do it today as I'm doing a 5K on Sunday.

About 85 minutes on the treadmill...it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and I actually enjoyed keeping even pace and being able to see correlation between pace and HR.

My previous long treadmill run was about an hour back in 9/04 before my first tri. In recent history maybe 45 minutes was top and I thought I'd go nuts.

27.8 miles done

Ooh, where did you find such a good-looking spreadsheet?

Have you been able to get ahold of Trierjen yet? Looks like everyone else on your team has been training, at least.

Hey, all.  I am a bit behind on my minutes as I have been battling a bit of a cold.  My hope is to get some time in tomorrow evening (fingers crossed).

5 miles this afternoon, should be well back on track to meet my goal soon.

Anyone else ready for the weather to warm up a bit?? Not too much, but 20 or 30 extra degrees wouldn't hurt =)

Yes! That would bring us above freezing here in MN...that would be a heatwave...

I'm so skewed in my temperatures, I'm thinking hey we warmed up above freezing, MN must be really cold. Then I realized oh ya 0 is not freezing, but because we warmed up to 5F and it is snowing out, I was thinking we are have a heatwave here!

I did run at 5F, in the snow this morning and it was beautiful.

Isn't that the truth - when you are warmer, we are colder, and vice versa... weird how the jet stream works.

Yeah, that is perfect for getting to the Piriformis.

I do that two different ways...laying on my back with my hands supporting my leg just above my knee and pulling towards me.

Other way I do it sitting up craddling my knee with my hands and try to pull towards me as well.

PT suggested standing someplace you can put your bottom part of you leg on..sink or table..needs to be right height..turning your foot in and knee out and stretching that way too which works well.

Did 10 miles total in 1:10:04.

Now: 118/250 - 47%

Team: 34.71 %

Now I am going to scarf some food and get on the trainer.

four miles today with a shortened LT test at 31.05/60miles

 treadmill

As close to a run LT test as feel comfortable doing at this point.  Averaging last 15.5 minutes instead of 20 minutes.  Will try full run LT in a month.

 1mi at 11min/mi at 148bpm average

 1mi at  8min/mi at 187bpm average

1 more mile at 8min/mi at 195bpm average

1 last mile at  7.5min/mi at 198bpm average

didn't go 100% all out as I'm scared to push myself much past that range until I get a better run base.  After stretching out I was able to do a 1 hour spin class at 167bpm with a couple pushes into the 190+ range.

And it warmed up to 30F here, that's 40-50 degrees warmer than it was this last weekend! That's almost naked running weather!

Took a long lunch today to get my run in. Now at:

Run: 128/250 - 51%

Team: 35.45%

Have another 32 miles planned for the remainder of our week (Ending Saturday) which should put me at 160 if I hit all of my workouts. Seems like I am on track to finish at or just above my goal this month as long as I stay healthy.

32/55 miles done. I'm at 58%, team is at 38.84%

Next week is a recovery week for me, so I won't have many miles at all, but I'm right on track to finish exactly at 55 miles!

Nope, I didn't fall off the face of the earth, or a high bridge... just spent a LONG week at my grandmothers that is now finally over

But I was able to get in a couple good runs for about 8 miles total. So now I'm at 17/40 for the month and have a long run planned for the weekend
