Yay for that! Man, Heather, remind me never to get a fishtank. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed today. The weather has been icky making training difficult. Friend/Training Partner/Boss wants me to step up more at werk and start teaching again and I don't want to. Yet I am about to drop a large sum of money on Sunday so my kids can be on swim team and I still am paying for my lovely new transmission in my van so I could use the money. My house is in shambles. The kids will be home any minute and I haven't made the beds or started the laundry. I still need to go to the bank. I need some cheese to go with my whine. Or an LD Peanut Butter Crunch Bar. |

NEVER GET A FISHTANK!! afterall you've got a big one at work, with lots of over-sized guppies, I'm sure. Is it teaching swim lessons or LGT/WSI classes? Either way, I can relate to the boss, it's hard to find good instructors. But make sure you don't over-tap yourself Sounds like you already have lot to take care of. Good luck on your day!!! Hope you pull it all off. |

Hope you pull it all off. Thanks. I'm already teaching LGI stuff. This is group and private lessons. He has a lot of kids wanting tri-specific lessons, so I'm the only one qualified (besides himself) to do these. I just don't want to be in there 5 days a week with all my high volume training going on. I feel bad for my boss. He can't do it all by himself. But I've plunked so much money down on Mooseman. First the entry fee, then the hotel rooms and the huge drive from SC to NH. I want to give it my all. My friend that I was riding with tomorrow just called and cancelled because of the weather. So now I've got to figure out how to get a 65 mile solo ride done this weekend. I wish I were good enough to go pro. Then my training would BE my job. I'm just flustered because I've already skimped my cycling mileage on both of my other rides this week because of the weather and being stuck indoors. I cannot bear the thought of a 3 hour trainer ride. Just a lot of things happening at once. April and May are always crazy. |

It hurts, is cold, makes the road slippery and is generally no fun at all. |

I'm thinking that swim needs to wait till next year, what do Nibbs think? Yeah. Wait til next year. A mile in the ocean is a far piece. You will be more buoyant than in the pool though. That's the joy of salt water. SO it will take less effort to stay afloat, although more effort to navigate the waves. I would not want to do an ocean swim if I considered my OWS weak. Too many freak out factors come in to play and then not feeling secure about swimming doesn't sound like a positive experience. If they had a quarter mile swim, I'd say go for it! |
