I've been cleaning and moving stuff around today.  Trying to get our den in useable condition instead of just a storage room.  Lots of picking up heavy things.

The bike jacket I wanted popped back up on chainlove, so I was excited about that.

Now we are putting some stuff in storage and taking things to storage.  Not so much fun.

Where do you want me to start reporting from?  THe "luncheon" yesterday or the "festivities" of today?  Yes, I have pictures.  However, in the interest of my self preservation I opted not to take any pictures of the newlywedded idiots or their parents.  Only pictures of my kids, the ones from Holland and not much else.

My mother didn't know about the booze until a little while ago.  I asked her why she thought so many cups were stacked up in front of Kay or why 3 tables worth of people kept coming over to Kay?  Guess mom would have liked some assistance in liqid form too.

Hi Nibbs - Ive posted this in my log but we are one of the best groups of people for offering support and kindness when its needed.

Here is what Ive posted:

Christine (Lucy) has been rushed to hospital this morning (USA time)... please please please put her in your thoughts and prayers. She is battling a brain tumour...

Her log is here: http://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/training/index-weekly.asp?memberid=10024

And there is a thread going in Tri Talk for her: http://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=123181&posts=9&start=1

And COJ: http://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid... you know her or not she is one of the absolute sweetest and kindest women - please keep her in your thoughts.

If you can find just 30 seconds to send her thought/prayers/inspires Im sure it will help.

I dont want to ask too much time but this is seriously a wonderful woman, mother, wife, friend and BTER that needs all the support she can get right now.

Thanks

Cat

Well, I'm pretty pleased with result of my 5K this morning... see the race report, album of pics, plus, if there was an award for the "most tan runner" I would've blown away the field LOL

Cat thanks for noting about Christine/Lucy. I know she was supposed to have a follow-up with the neurologist on Tuesday but obviously her body could not wait.

Scott, great picture. Are the kids there yet?

Okay, I read on and I see they will be there tomorrow.

Don't fall off any ladders.

Hi Kendra... great news on the new carrels (that's the thing for checking out books, right???)  we got new ones at our libraries a while back and I love them.... you enter your card like an atm and slide the books over a platform and they register on your acct (they have littel magnetic pads in them)

Brought DS #1 to library for books, I limit him to six... somehow I walked out with ten or so books on landscaping and gardening

Actually the carrels are where the customer computers sit. The ones I had were way too big and I have moved them to other places in the library to be used as study or laptop carrels. The new carrels are smaller so that I can limit one person to a computer.

We already have the selfcheckout machines and it is a lifesaver with keeping the customers moving.

first day of house hunting went reasonably well - actually really well

we saw 8 houses (6 on tap for tomorrow)  narrowed it down to a top 3 list from today - we were pretty much in agreement

tonight we are going to a baseball game

Sounds promising in the housing dept.

Yesterday was one long day, but successful. We had over 300 at the library event last night. had only 130 presold tickets, so we did a lot of sales at the door. We were in shock.

Yes, but she's so fat that wasn't noticed.  The bride wasn't drinking, just the older brother, his wife, sons and girlfriends (of age) and my younger brother.  They supplied booze to the grooms nephew but he looked like Lurch from the Adam's Family only with a big spike sticking from his earlobe.  (yes, you read that right)
