I rode outside and was wicked hot I had to go back home and change into cooler clothes then ran out of time to ride longer..but worked hard while out on the bike.

I may ride trainer tonight but racing both days this weekend and would like some spring in my legs Saturday and Sunday.

As of 7:00 PM EST.  Maybe Newleaf will have a flat tire.  Are there any bike shops open at 9:00 PM in his area?    And I have to get my butt moving, both Mav and Aquagirl are pulling away here!

Finally got home from the conference and felt like doing nothing but eating and sleeping. Got on the trainer for just 15 minutes and I have to admit that it felt great to move!!  Then my 9 year old wanted to know (actually begged me) if we could "do some abs" together.  How could I say no??

Watch out, next thing you know, the 9 year old will have a BT nic, enter into the bike challenge and end up beating us all.

Betcha thought I wasn't going to get my ride on today.  WRONG!  Grabbed 45 min in the saddle post Miss Thing's concert (needed fast music to erase the memory of the awful 6th grade orchestra)  In case you wonder, Miss Thing is 7th grade choir.

Actually I felt like ..........perhaps coming down with something. Antidote - Slap on some padded pants and ride. I did 1 hr. I did the first 30 min straight and then I did 3 sets of 10 min with some brief weights in between. Does that still count? All in all my was in the saddle and my little legs peddled for 60 min. My goal was an hour but I had to break it up..........the behind is still a tiny bit sore. Oh ya.........didn't want to break my bonus streak!

Finally 45 minutes in spinning class which I'm counting as the trainer.

Thanks for the challenge. Without it I probably wouldn't have gotten on the bike tonight. THis week has been horrible at work.

Sure, I'd count everything.  If I could figure out a way to ride the trainer and surf BT at the same time, I'd be leading this thing by a wide margin!

I suppose it would have looked a little weird, going in there with earplugs.

I used to take a cycle class at a Y called cycle and scuplt where we used 5 to 8 lb weights and did various  strength training upper body with  slowed cadence pedaling alternating with no weights and hard cadence +/or tension.  It was a great class.  A form of intervals which is all the good stuff

I sat towards the back and unfortunately grimaced a few times and tried to unobtrusively plug the ears (other parents might have gotten offended that I blocked out their little darlings)

as a parent of one of those kids I would certainly not be offended. I've had to listen to the extensive practice of jingle bells on the flute for the past month. the concert for the 4th grade orchestra is monday :} Im sitting here at the conference today wishing I had brought some food. The lukewarm egg, sausage and cheese thing I ate is not sitting well. But.... I will still ride tonight

So, I failed to get out of the bed yesterday morning and get on the trainer...but, I made up for it with a 40 minute ride last night

Didn't make it up in time to ride again this morning

Hopefully I can get in a swim at lunch

Taking my son to the circus tonight.  Think anyone would mind if I ran the stairs?

Hahahaha, I can just picture that.  Maybe see if there are any job openings at the circus, I bet you could get quite a workout running away from the lions and tigers!

Yes!  I'm competitive enough to get on the trainer every day, but I'm missing something because I can't bring myself to ride enough to catch up to those front runners. grrrrrr.  I have all month to dig deep!

The last thing I wanted to do when I go home last night was get on the trainer.  BUT, I want bonus points!!  Smile  As added motivation I also purchased what may be some of the best cookies ever.  I know, I know.... not the healthiest form of motivation but I have a sweet tooth that doesn't quit and I swear these cookies were calling my name.  I did make myself earn my cookies though....75 minutes last night and another 45 this morning.

Keep us up to date on how many trainer minutes it takes to burn off 1 cookie.  Now there is a scientific study that I'd sign up for in a heartbeat!

Maybe I'll look into that   60 minutes on the trainer earns me 2 cookies, so I think I'm still ahead of the game.
