The crud stinks!

Our10K this morning happened wthout us.  Overslept and knew that we would not make it to Dallas in time. So, what did we do...crawl back into bed until 10.  Felt GREAT but now I am in that slept too much fog!

It's 85...that's right, 85 degrees here in North Texas.  We are about to get on our bikes for a little spin!

Trainer ride for me today...pushed my long run until tomorrow because I didn't sleep well last night. Wish it was 85 here - we hit the low 50's today...

So I'm starting the month off pretty well...I think I got my trainer fixed so I need to do some serious riding. I have 114 miles to ride this month.

I've done CrossFit at a gym the past 2 days...my body hurts. Its achey all over...I tried to sleep and could never get comfortable, everytime I moved something ached. I haven't felt like that in 3 years. Its not the worst I've been sore, as nothing is "sharp painful" sore...but its a big ache. Hips, glutes, and upper back/shoulders.

I must have did something right...kicked my butt even though it didn't see that hard at the time.

comet -- I should know your real name, I'm sorry -- where are you in NoVa?  I'm in Ashburn and I train at the Loudoun Lifetime Fitness.

But I won't be doing that today.   Have major crud in my head again today and feel like I just want to spend the day in bed.   Sad.

Wow there is a lot of crud going around.  A lot of people not sleeping well too. I have not slwpt well for the past month.  I have no problems falling asleep, but I don't stay asleep.

I have been sleeping at my moms since thursday dog sitting and I think I am hearing a train go by every hour or so.  She is a good way from the tracks, but at night all sounds seem to go on forever.

It's COLD here.  85 as a high yesterday, 35 as a high today.  Is that insane?  Going to hit the trainer for an hour before the Ravens game!

DANG-IT.  Went for my first outisde ride of the winter as a mental toughness day and I had a mechanical breakdown which shortened the ride in half.  Oh well.  At least I tried.  Still ended up with 29 minutes on the bike.  Headed to the bike shop now for some repairs.

I'm in 'lower Arlington' I guess...by DCA. Upper Arlington is Ballston and stuff right? I'm going to CrossFit in Herndon, right off Fairfax Country Parkway.

Daily post:

I thought I was going to get up and ride a bit before work...however, not happening as I'm SO tired. Got off work at 7 this morning, and a 30min. ride probably isn't happening. We'll see what I can manage. Off I go....

Yesterday - Got a 30 min. run in and some strength training.

Today - Was supposed to get a 30 min. bike ride in, but I had a friend over for the weekend, so never made it to the gym. Am planning on making it up tomorrow (somehow). I do really want to get on the stationary especially since I just got my very first pair of sping shoes with SPD cleats (belated christmas present from hubby dear). My first bike shoes yayeeee....

Happy "Friday" Haley!!

Good morning everyone.  I hope you all have a great start to your week.  I hit the pool at 5 a.m. today and got my 1250 drills workout done, so it was a pleasant start to the week for me.  No beating myself up all day for oversleeping, because I didn't oversleep!!!

Happy Monday everyone.  Back to it today, and by that I don't just mean work, I also mean eating right and drinking all my water.  I really was pretty good this weekend, but I also allow myself to be a little lax on the weekends.

Not sure about how my workout is going to go today.  Have to pick up mom at the airport tonight at 6:15 so that does not leave much time from getting home to leaving to get her.  May try to sneak out a little early to get an interval spin before.  I may also go to the gym at my work and lift at lunchtime.  I have had my stuff here in a gym bag for a month now.

Have a great day everyone!

Happy Monday,

Got up early for my first of many early morning workouts. Woke up at 5:30 and was in the weight room at 6:00am. Lifted for 40 minutes and then ran for 30. Plyometrics later tonight.

My nutrition is going well. 2356 calories yesterday. I stepped on the scale this morning after my workout and I weighed in at 211.5. Four lbs down in about 3 weeks. Over the holidays at that. I'm getting more comfortable on the tri bike as well. It's a very different ride than the roadie.

Drink up everyone,

Did upper body strength at lunch.  Since i have a gym in my building, and I have had a bag with workout clothes under my desk for about a month, I figured what the heck!

Kept the weights light so I would not be hurting too bad tomorrow!

Happy Monday! Everyone's been getting in some great workouts I'm personally being extra good nutrition wise today to make up for a very bad weekend (I baked cookies. Why oh why did I think that was a good idea???) and for probably being bad this evening. We have our cycling club yearly kickoff meeting with free TexMex. So, today it's been a fruit smoothie for breakfast, a salad for lunch, 2 kiwis and I'll probably have a yogurt and apple for a snack later. No workouts planned since I run straight from work to tutoring then to the meeting. I hate no-workout days and lately they're way too often while I fight this crud that's still lingering

Today I got the OK to change my work schedule to 7-4.  I am not a morning workout person, no matter how hard I try.  I talk a good game, get my stuff ready for that 5am spin class but inevitably, I do not get up.

So, I decided to stop kidding myself.  This way, I get home an hour earlier and get my workout done earlier.  Thus, eating dinner earlier and going to bed arlier.

Sounds like a good plan.  We'll see tomorrow!
