enders_shadow - 2009-07-07 7:42 AM Happy Tuesday, everyone! I got a PR for a standalone 5K run last night...it has been 3 years since I did one (and my first half of a 10K earlier this year was faster than my 5K last night)...but still, it's a PR. They also run the same race for the next 2 Monday's, so I'll have a chance to try to better that time. Riding today - I'm going to put the trainer in front of the TV and watch some TTT coverage.

Great job on the PR!

running4beer - 2009-07-07 9:56 AM Oh, and got Stage 1 done (a little on the short side, but good) while I was in Maine for the 4th of July weekend.  Before doing a 10k leg of a 60+ mi road race around Mt. Desert Island on the 4th with 5 friends, I rode by myself just under 12mi from my campsite to the start of my leg.  It was a LOT more hilly than I thought it would be, so I took it at moderate intensity so I didn't kill my legs for the run... and even though it was rainy it was a beautifully scenic ride around the island.

I want to go back and ride there and through Acadia - GORGEOUS!

I'm going to Maine and Acadia the end of the month, beginning of July.  Soooooo looking forward to it.

And I can't possibly read them all!  I gave up reading about 90% of the last challenge I did since I'd leave for an hour and have missed 12 pages or so...

Anyway, I have just decided to bail on my ride tonight.  UGH, I know.  SLACKER.  It's raining and thundering right now and I biked to the office with my nice roadie (my racing bike) and am dreading the itty bitty ride home without fenders, let alone a much longer one in traffic to the gym where I'd have to leave my bike sitting outside.

I swear it's been raining here for over a month!!  Yesterday (which I spent the most part packing and driving in) was nice, but then I wake up and it's Groundhog's Day all over again.  Repeat of last month.

Nice!  Have you been before?  I've fallen in love the trails and swimming in Echo Lake.

Not to my knowledge have I been to Acadia.  I know that as a child I've been to Maine and when I was in college but could not tell you where.

Good morning team. Checking in after a 3 day weekend. Well, mine is really a 5 day, I added a day on at each end. Did not get in a cycling (unless you count the motorcycle) but did get in some hiking. Will be getting on the bike today to get my first stage done.

Most of you know me, but for those of you who don't.

Kendra, wife of one, mother of two, grandmother of four, caretaker of two cats. Librarian.

Hi Kendra! You wanna set some posting goals like the last challenge we were in together?

LOL, don't think I can keep up a pace like that.

That was a pretty ridiculous month, but I don't think 8000 seems out of the question for you

Are you going gor 6000? If you go for 6K, I'll go for 8K.

Now that sounds like a challenge. Against my better judgment I accept

You are both insane!!!

Makes me feel better about my posting nbers every Julythough....

Okay, did not expect him to take me up on that.

hehe!

I also can't keep up, too many full pages of post padding. Oh well. Nice work Judi! I got my bike in this morning, Stage 2, but worked too late to get my swim in before the noodle lady class so another one missed I'm packing for my HIM instead, I'm guessing my week is going to blow schedule wise.

That's good news though.  We had to take a two week furlough.  Sucky, but definitely better than losing a job.

Suckage on the rain.  I hate riding in it too and we've got it in the forecast every day through the weekend.  Should make this challenge interesting...

Well, not really.  Just me talking to myself.  Kristen PR'd a 5k.  Mina showed up.  And Kendra's doubting a certain posting challenge.

BTW, nice riding

I was going to ride today, but I can't train for a little while.  I have an infection in my lungs and have to wait for the steroids to kick in a little so I can breathe.  I hope that I can still get all of my stages in.  I will definitely be riding 150 miles and two stages this month.  I may have to alter my goal a little.
