BIG effen earthquake today!!!!  6.5!!!!  Centered about 20 miles from our house!!!!  I'll tell you more about it later.  Very little damage at our house.  Thank goodness.  We are all fine.

I got a run done earlier today.  Not sure if the planned bike ride will get done tomorrow.  (Need to evaluate the bike for damage still.)

ohhhh scary! Glad only little damage by you! Hope the bike is ok!!

January Challenge Weekly Update

Here are the current team standings:

1st place - The Epiphanies - 24.0%
2nd place - Tased and Confused - 21.7%
3rd place - Wind Chill Warriors - 21.0%

For many of us, it's REALLY cold outside. Great job of working out, despite the cold, snow, ice and wind!

chilly teammies-

I finally figured out some January goals and have updated the spreadsheet with my goals and actuals, looks like I'm not dragging us down... but not lifting us up either!  Just another average warrior.  I'll try to up my percentages this week!

Hi Teammates!

I'm sorry I didn't update the spreadsheet before last night, but I doubt that my 1 swim would have helped us along.  I am feeling better about this week, and have wargamed my schedule.

We tried to ride today but it was COLDer and WINDier than we expected.  We cut it short, and I'm still trying to warm up.  Brrr.

Whoo hoo!!! Did a bike ride and a run this afternoon.  Bike ride was nothing spectacular at all,  BUT my run was the first time I kept my pace under a 12 min. mile for the whole 3 miles!  I am SO PUMPED!!   ME! The gal who had never even jogged more than a couple of blocks before a few months ago!

Okay I will calm down now!  Laughing   It takes so little to please me!  Wink

I can deal with cold rides but cold and windy rides are miserable.

Average is just fine.  It means you are on target and not in danger of overtraining.

Got a walk and core in today. And the best news came this morning. I am down to 139.8 on the scale. The first time in three years that I have been in the 130s. I know this because I was 143 when I moved from Alaska to Oklahoma and have never seen the 130s since. I am stoked.. Wha hoo... Only 4.8 to go to goal..

Glad you're o.k. and that there was little damage to the house.  Isn't it funny after family and house, the next thing we think about is our bike?

dimplespoo - 2010-01-09 7:20 PM Wow - no posts today at all for our team. Hopefully everyone is out doing there workouts. Make sure you post the workouts this evening in case they do the first week scoring tomorrow.

Go Team.
Stacie

As I appreciate not having pages of reading when I got back...it would be nice to have a little more chattiness! To me this is where the motivation comes from! Comon warriors whacha doing today????

Back to work...got a VERY short run in this morning (1.5 miles)...I should be able to get a workout in during the lunch hour.

I'm excited...we'll be above freezing on Wednesday (34)!
