I added a line to my signature but then thought I would wait for something official to be sensitive to those who were on the "other team" that have now seen the light and joined the right team for this month's challenge ![]() Only if you add an avatar with the signature line! X2 While you're in there adding that sig line, throw a pic in as well...anything will do...really...you don't have to be scared! ![]() I don't go around taking pictures of myself very often so I don't really have anything to use for an avatar picture. I've been trying to think of some clever picture I could have my wife take but I'm not clever. I have a picture that I have used for an avatar in the past when I have been pushed to get one. Its not a picture of me though and there is a story behind it. I have to go meet my family so I can't post it now. Maybe this evening when I get home. Fine, I guess we can wait. Besides, I don't want you to succumb to peer pressure! ![]() ![]() |

But at least I'm not the baby this month. I saw in the intros some people were younger than me! I think I'm the baby... But I have watched the A-Team...in fact I have an A-Team tshirt somewhere that a group of us made for an event a few years back...haha...I get age points for this... Its strength training when your riding into the wind and speed training when you're riding with the wind. |

Its strength training when your riding into the wind and speed training when you're riding with the wind. yeah...that's the problem...it's a 2 mile stretch of road...so I normally go down and back 6 times...but when going with the wind, I end up hammering because it's so fun to go fast...but then I pay for it on the way back because my legs are gassed. |

I do a moderate intensity/moderate resistance during the show, then during commercials, pop it into the big chainring on the front and the smallest on the back and do an out-of-the saddle hill climb. I know, I know... the whole idea behind DVR is to fast forward through the commercials, but it helps to vary the workout. By the way, who shot JR? Hmmm, that's a good idea! I don't have a DVR so I'm forced to either watch commercials or flip channels (I know I'm in the dark ages, but before I bought my trainer in Feb, I can't remember the last time I turned on my TV). Next time I'll just practice climbing during commercials!! Missy, I hadn't watched tv in forever either until we got our trainers. They are great for both biking during the crappy outdoor months and catching up on some tv! My husband and I would also play a "game" during 24 (no commercials with Netflix) where we each picked a character. Every time that character was on screen, we had to sprint. That sounds like fun. Too bad I don't have a trainer. I got mine mid-Feb, and haven't been that consistent in using it. It's definitely convenient for riding in bad weather, as long as you remember to get on it! Rhoda, that's another good idea for a game! So, I probably shouldn't pick Jack Bauer, huh? Only pick Jack if you are looking to pass out and fall off the trainer... ![]() You know you've had a good workout if you manage to fall off the trainer! ![]() |

Hmmm... tempting! My husband and I have been alternating Dallas and 24 reruns from Netflix to watch on our trainers. We're almost caught up on 24 though and have been debating what series to do next. I started watching another series from that time that I used to really enjoy, Quantum Leap. Its not the same. I don't think I even finished the first season. Ooooh, I love that show and now that i'm thinking of it, I don't know that I ever saw the last episode. Hmmmm!? I used to love that show too! I feel like I saw the last episode, but I can't remember what happened. . . Maybe that also needs to be added on my shows-to-watch list! |

Hmmm... tempting! My husband and I have been alternating Dallas and 24 reruns from Netflix to watch on our trainers. We're almost caught up on 24 though and have been debating what series to do next. I think I need to start watching DVDs while on the trainer. . . I've just been relying on good old regular TV. I'll add 24 to my list of things to watch. Does anyone else have any other suggestions? If you are at all a cryer (like me ![]() I've heard Lost is good? I was thinking about that next... I absolutely love Lost but if you're anything like me, it would not be a good trainer show. IMO, Lost is one of those that you have to listen to every single word of every single show to know/understand what is going on and I just am not capable of that while on the trainer! Do you think it'd work if I watched with subtitles on? I watched Caprica (the miniseries & all of this season's episodes) on the trainer with subtitles! |

Expert ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Ok, so I was feeling a little funky when I left work. I've been battling some sort of cold/allergies/general under-the-weather-ness since this weekend. I blame the change of season! Anyways, I decided to go to yoga instead of run because I just felt kind of crummy. It's too bad, because it was so nice out today! Oh well. I'll just rest up tonight and hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow so that I can take advantage of the weather! |

Many moons ago we were visiting my wife's family and my SIL's new friend was acting kind of funny whenever I was around. Later she told my SIL that I look like Arnold. I'm the same height but that's where the similarities end. Now its become the family joke. |
