Hi Team 2-mates...
I've been SLACK-TASTIC this month.  I only missed one day of workouts, which I'll make up tomorrow, but I haven't even entered my goals in the spreadsheet.  Dee, I kneel before thee and await thy tasering!  But my goals are straight off my training plan and are as follows:

Swim - 12 sessions
Bike - 12 sessions
Run - 12 sessions

I will get them in there, I promise!  I got an hour trainer ride in this morning and have a 30 min treadmill run at lunchtime.  Have a great day!

YAY! I GET TO TASER BILL!

Dear Bill,

In order to keep you from continuing your slack-tastic status, I have entered your above goals on the spreadsheet. Now, go fill in your progress, or I will have yet another reason to taser you. Um, not that I really need a *reason* to tase anyone.....

Got my OWS done today, supposed to have a bike ride too but due to the rain thinking I will be doing a run instead.

Knocked out my lunchtime run, so I'm done for the day.  Another double workout day tomorrow to make up for yesterday's blow-off day.

Did the same...  Will ride in the morning and swim tomorrow evening..

BTW - today was brutal heat index of 100 for a 45 min joggy-walk-jog...  Not sure if I can do that much time in the noon heat yet...

Got in a 45 min trainer ride this morning.  Off to the pool at lunchtime.  Starting to feel a little run down.  No rest day scheduled until Sunday, but alergies are kicking my @$$.  If I post a message later today that looks something like this... "ORTIOERITJQLRITJHQOLTHRQTL", it's just because my head has hit the keyboard and I'm sound asleep.  Hope everyone has a great day.

Nice brick, David.  It does seem to get harder every year, doesn't it?  Nice to see a fellow Pennsylvanian... where is McMurray, PA?

Dee... time to turn the taser on yourself! Surprised

You must reeeeeeally like me because you put me on both team 2 AND team 3 this month.  I just got a message from Stacie on team 3 asking me to get my butt in gear.  I told her that my heart belongs to team 2.

Swam this morning. I'm back on Week Three of the Kazez 0 to 1650 plan. (Pool was closed for 10 days!)

Walk/ran on my lunch hour. I began Week One of the coolrunning.com Couch to 5K plan.

Yay me! Yay everybody!

Hey team!

Hope everyone is doing well! Lets get those goals done!

Sorry I've been sporadically here. Haha...

Woke up this morning a decided to move my workout to this evening once I leave the lab. Short swim and short run for today. I was pretty achy yesterday and my body will probably not be appreciative by the end of the week. Its pretty high volume for me to get some good training in for the next month before taper starts for my HIM in Calgary. Trying to strengthen up my glut medius, TFL, etc as well to stop my a$$ pain. NSAIDS are the best things in the world right now.

Working on intro for my research paper I know I'm going to get told to write by the end of the summer...or at least I think I'm going to get told to write...attempting to be proactive!...I occasionally get diverted by FB, BT or other randomness...haha

I did?

Well, the only answer is that you'll need to do DOUBLE workouts this month, so you meet both your Team 2 and Team 3 goals.

(So we never came up with a new name, huh? Oh well. It could be worse. LOL)

OK, OK..... Since your heart belongs to us (and it's easier to taser you this way), you're now officially on Team 2. I've removed you from the Team 3 spreadsheet.

So now you don't need to do DOUBLE workouts. Of course, you CAN if you WANT to.

<--- Yes, I'm a giver like that.

It's now officially ours. Did you want to borrow a taser to help motivate him?

Hmmm, I am as new to the concept of motivational taserings as I am to triathlons... I'll need a few pointers.

Sorry I'm slacking here folks.  Looks like I'll have to do double and triple the workouts soon.  This trial has been kicking my butt.  Hell, I haven't even had time to read all the witty banter in this thread!  Looking like I won't make it home until 10 or so tonight - another 13 hour day.  It's worth it though.  He's a bad dude.
should go to the jury tomorrow morning/early p.m.

About 12 miles SW of Pgh -- which put me at a crossroads for the Stanley Cup. I wanted to hate Chicago because of Hossa, but then again, it's practically illegal here to cheer on the Flyers.

Wondering which offers better motivation to pick up the pace: a taser or a big growling dog? Or -- being passed by someone your mother's age?

I'm not overly heartbroken about the Flyers... I'm kind of a bandwagon fan and just watch the playoffs.  I'm a big Phillies and Eagles fan.  My boss is a die hard Pittsburgh fan (Every sport).  He went to Pitt and goes to a lot of Steelers games (yes, he makes the 5 hour drive 4 or 5 times per season).  I have lots of family in that area... my dad was born and raised in Elizabeth, PA, so he's also a Steelers and (gulp!) Pirates fan.

Happy Day 10, everyone! How's its going? What do you have planned for today? Cool

Right now there are little pictures of storm clouds on the evening hours of the weather.com hour-by-hour forecast. Frown On the other hand, the forecast is rarely reliable more than an hour in the future. My plan, if the weather works in my favor, is to make an attempt at doing the oasis ride in under one hour ride time. Actually my goal is to do the oasis ride in under an hour, but one other thing in the forcast: 19 mph headwind for the ride back. *sigh*

Either success or the attempt will count as a workout. If it is storming, I guess I'll just hop in the Wii.  *sigh*

Swimming...inside...it will be raining all afternoon.  After open water and outdoor pool swimming, it's hard to force myself back indoors.
