I just want everyone to know I have ensured warm weather for next years race by purchasing underarmour cold gear.  You can thank me later.

As IF you will need that in south Texas!! :-)
btw, thanks in advance.

Save them and bring them to IMFL and put them in your run sn bag. You never know what the temperature might be race day especially after sun goes down.

I'm going to Minnesota for the holidays and some days the high is 5 and low might be -20 plus wind chill. I'm not big fan of running much below 15-20. My face and feet get cold even with wool socks.

Hey Kathy,

Bought one of these got it today & tried out on my run tonight - it works great (not heavy), perfect for the dark depths on the national park,

http://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/products/RRU1116/

If it lasts long enough it'll definitely be part of my run SN.

Also took delivery of a new 2xu C:1 full wetsuit - seems impossible small when hanging in the closet, have tried it on & it's good that I don't need to bend over to swim - but otherwise seems ok.

Compliments of the season to you & family & the extended family here on the list

i'm new to bt, also first time writing here.
was able to register for my first IM - IMFL. was quite nervious, as it seemed that registering from my country bolivia takes longer than from the States, only managed to get in after 3 hours of trying.
as far as i know, i will be the first bolivian after some decades to participate in an IM. a friend did it while beeing in college - three decades ago. easy to know, as we are only a handfull doing tris in bolivia

Im in!!! This will be #2 for me. Looking to improve on my IMKY time from 2009. I'm very close to PCB & have spent many, many Summers in that area. Hope I can help the group out. BTW, lodging is not an issue. You can find a place to stay as late as race week.

Very cool of your wife!

I'm turning 50 day before IMFL in 11 and doing it to celebrate turning 50.

Sounds like we are about the same age...we age up to the 50-54 age groups next year

I turned 50 this year and did B2B as a birthday gift.  In 2011 I am doing IMFL for turning 51.  I think I will give myself a birthday present each year til I can't do another IM.  This morning my daughter who went with my family to see me complete B2B IM gave me a video she put together that had pictures and video taken to the race.  It was the best gift and it was like reliving the race all over again.  Thanks Katie!

Happy New Year!

Just think just over 10 months until our IM. For many of us it will be our first and others one of many Ironmans. The journey to the start line will be amazing. Hope it is injury free and fun for all of us!

Happy New Year!

I rang in the new year with a dream about race day. This is my 3rd dream about it and I've only been signed up for a few weeks.  I guess I am a little more nervous for this (my first IM) than I realized!
