Anti-fruitcake run this morning!

In the end my lack of weight loss will get me fruitcake status I think... but holding out for most of the month is still an accomplishment!

So you'll only be a partial fruitcake? Hm. A fruitcake without half the fruit? Or without half the nuts? Maybe with only half the calories, like a "light fruitcake?" Ah here we go. I *heart* the internet. Search and you shall find.... LIGHT FRUITCAKE: http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,186,145170-225205,00.html

I'm laughing at the concept of a "light" fruitcake...  By definition, isn't a fruitcake prretty brick-like?  dense and heavy?  Wink

Yeah.  Just like some people I know.

Hm. Good thing I don't take things personally, or I'd suspect that you were talking about.... hm. Wait, let me think about this a bit.

I've had a couple of non-fruitcake like days. I got a run in (maybe a little unproductive with the birthday phone calls I got during the run) and did my push ups and sit ups. Already did my push ups and sit ups today and will be heading out soon for the lunchtime run.

Wait wait wait.... IS TODAY YOUR BIRTHDAY????????????????????????

'Cause, you know, if it is, we'll have to post lots of glitter graphics and all.

I *heart* glitter graphics.

Some people I talk to think I'm totally nuts... for running in the cold... for running at all... for trying to do tri's... for riding in the cold... you get the picture.
The other day someone said referring to me, "You've done it now.  He's a runner." My thought was "But that's a good thing and you say it like it's a bad thing."

Most people just don't understand...

It's sad when the norm is to be sedentary...

Glad to be part of the rebellion!

If you're totally nuts, does that make you a *heavy fruitcake*? On account of all those nuts, I mean. Not for any other reason.

I'm too soft and squishy to be a fruitcake but I fit the "heavy" description.

No kidding!  However, I think I'm going to be using my extra cycling percentage to makeup for my fruitcake runs.  I'm seriously lagging in that department!

Queen of the Fruitcakes, reporting for duty!

I got a run in finally. I went to go for a swim and my pool is closed AGAIN. They will be open "sometime after Christmas".
I had to delete my Swim challenge if that's okay.
By the time I get into the pool again I'll have to take remedial swim lessons!

I WILL meet the rest of my goals. It will be tough but I do not want to be a permanent fruitcake!

I have to make a small reduction in my goals because of an injury (hyperextended my knee yesterday). It affected 1 run and 1 peach so far, so I will make those changes. I hope that everything heals up for a great training week but I will drop in here if I need to make any more changes. Usually when I hyperextend my knee it only acts up for a couple of days...

I am making my fruitcake escape strategy...

What % do we need by the end of the month in order to not be considered fruitcakes? 80%? 85%? 90%?

Right now, without further weight loss, I am on track to get 80% by months end.

I have been quite the fruitcake this week...  Frown  Trying to somewhat male up for this this weekend!  I need to have a REALLY good end of the month.  Fortunately, my parents are coming out for Christmas and staying for almost a week.  They are fantastic about watching the kids so I can go get a workout in.  I just need to keep my motivation in check!
