Ive had a long weekend here (Queens b'day) but back to work now....sigh... Had a good weekend with a lot of cooking and eating, some decent workouts and a lot of shopping too New boots, new skirt and best of all a beautiful dress for my friends wedding in October. I know its a little way off but I needed to buy in the winter here for a wedding in Canada in October.... Queensland and winter does not compute, you cannot use these words in the same posting. The long weekend was pretty good, not quite as much training in as hoped. Major disruption on the Sunday when the wife went out and took our 3 year old son with him. 1.5 hours later just as I was getting our daughter down for her nap so I could jump on the windtrainer, get a phone call. "Come and get him, he's gone feral". 2 hours later after driving there and back and then having both kids all afternoon, got onto the windtrainer at 10pm. This is true. As a Brit who also lived in Canada for nearly 3 years I realise I have turned into a complete softy. It was COLD this morning - only 9C! ha ha Good for you for getting on the trainer at 10pm! |

I went back to check your logs and put in your bike time thus far. Just double check that I didn't miss any of it! Woops! Thanks for letting me know! I will go double check afterwards. |

He got a call from the doc yesterday and he actually tested positive for Lyme. You women! My wife never believes me either when I'm sick. Last time this happened she finally agreed that I was sick after I was hospitalized with pneumonia. Well... if the little husband didn't cry wolf every time he had a tiny sickness... |

Which iron event are you doing? |

Extreme Veteran 668 Melbourne | Subject: RE: June Battle of the Triathlon Sports Challenge Early start for me this morning to get out in the cold to the shed and onto the windtrainer for a good session this morning. I need to lift a bit to ensure I bring my share to the bike team, think I am the lowest percentage at the moment so I promise guys and girls I'll get there. Waiting on the second season of the West Wing from the library at the moment, so in the meantime am watching the 6th season of Outrageous Fortunes, a great New Zealand series on a petty crime family trying to go straight, thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Great characters and has everything, comedy, drama, a bit of action. Now just back to work, still waiting to find out if I have the new role I was chasing or not. Really getting a bit over managers that seem to take forever to make decisions on hiring. I'm actually getting a bit close to telling them to take me out of consideration, however that leaves me with my current role where managers make bad decisions. |

Would the wedding in Canada in October by chance be in Alberta - or in Winnipeg?! I think we celebrate the Queens birthday in June as we already have 3 public holidays in April (when the actual birthday is), so putting a 4th one in the same month would be silly as you just wouldn't bother turning up to work that month. Mind you, it's going to be tough now, no more public holidays down here now until November, which in Victoria we take due to a horse race being on that day. |

Wedding in Winnipeg but then picking up a car to see family in SK and heading on up to AB, probably just Edmonton and Jasper but theres a chance we will spend some time in Calgary too. Do you also make espresso martinis by any chance? I heart them! Otherwise a crantini would be delightful! |

Heh. We may be the best team, we're just the laziest at spreadsheeting I'm probably at somewhere around 1000% percent of my goal (no that's not a typo) I seriously need to up the goals and log what I've done. |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: June Battle of the Triathlon Sports Challenge I wish napping was a category this month... I'd kill for a nap today! Not sure why, just SO tired. I've had a fun couple days (seriously, not sarcastically for once). My dd's soccer game went so late on Monday and I was so tired that I never got a workout in. I think her reading at bedtime actually put me to sleep. Ooops. Yesterday, there was a nice Flag Day thing at the school. I'm a total sap and got tears in my eyes watching the kids freeze there butts off but sing their hearts out around the flag... and then there was a reception in my dd's class. This morning I took my other dd's preschool class on a field trip to visit the mounted police. My little peanut got to ride on one of those HUGE police horses and loved it! Yesterday and today are the last dance classes before the recital this weekend and the kids are getting antsy to get those costumes on. I did get a one episode bike ride in last night and need to run tonight. Although, both sets of parents are coming for the weekend and I need to do some major cleaning before then. Eeek! Run will happen between all that, I guess? Or if I scrub the bathrooms really fast does that count for anything? Maybe I can make my desk look like i'm still here and go for a run before I have to leave for dance class? |

Master 1623 | Subject: RE: June Battle of the Triathlon Sports Challenge So between finding a job and finding a place to live, I'm super busy this week. It's starting to stress me out. I did have a great interview today and really hope I get the job as it sounds like a lot of fun. The housing issue is just a mess though. I may just be picky but I can't find a place in our price range that I really like. I'm thinking I'll do a quick strength session tonight then get up for a swim in the morning before heading home for father's day weekend. |
