Good morning Ghoulies!

I can see why you didn't get back to sleep after that. Put your sunglasses on so no one notices that your eyes are shut.

I was looking at houses for the race. To get one centrally located (a necessity for Jim and I since we are coming by boat from Sarasota), we need to act pretty fast. By the end of March or mid April at the latest.

Do you have a list of what is available and would suit our needs? Anything with a hot young Cabana Boy?

I haven't seen HYCB listed as an amenity yet. I am sure we can pick one up while we are on the Key.

I don't have a roster yet, I was just looking in general. We really need to figure out who is going, for how long, etc. I know Jim and I will do a week and that is the usual rental time. We can split the cost by the night for those staying for fewer nights. It is hard to know how many rooms to look for until we have more info from everyone. I was thinking of sending out a Ghoulie-gram today to find out who is in and who is out.

I'm in, I'm just not sure how many days I will be there. What are the dates that work for you and Jim?

We are working on that now. I figure I would stay at least a day after the race, maybe two if we are driving back from there. That would make a rental there from Tuesday through Tuesday or Wednesday through Wednesday.

Since I don't have a whole lot of vacation, I dont' know if I can do a whole week, maybe Thursday - Monday or something like that.

What ever works. We can figure out cost by the night. Get the total cost of the place and divided it by person and by night. It will still be cheaper than any of the hotels, inns, etc that I have been looking at. It is peak season there so places are filling up fast and the rates are at their highest, everywhere.

This will be our only vacation for a while so I want to make sure it is a really good one.

I am in for the Keys, just don't know how many days yet.  Once I know the time frame that Robin is planning the house for, I'll try to get hubby pinned down to dates.

He got the job at the University Hospital.  He should be starting there on March 20th.  He starts first as a temp that then becomes a full time employee, so we don't know all the benefit stuff yet, let alone the vacation time.  But I figure by January he aught to have some saved up.  I'm hoping to go for a week, but we shall see.

Yea for the job!! That is good news.

I am working on getting my DH to commit to days. I will know soon. The boat is actually a hovercraft and there is one from Ft Meyers that goes to the keys. I am pretty sure there is one from Sarasota, too. My mom lives in that area (about an hour drive). It would be cool to go visit her then take the boat to the Keys, maybe with bikes in tow. That would just be fun, plus it keeps the family from wanting to come down to the keys to visit. Love them but they are not folks I like to hang out with. My mom is coolish, but the bro and SIL are NOT!.

It is just an idea at this point. I am just trying to figure out ways to visit them and have a fun vacation, too. There is no way we could justify going to Fla and not seeing Family, even if it is a long way away from where they live.
