It's pretty unbelievable how some people make it difficult to do the simplest tasks..... Well, it's not their fault. This month's challenge is a lot more complicated. What happens is that some people list their goals in miles. But their logs report it in minutes. If the captain doesn't see that it's different, it gets put down incorrectly and that messes up the spreadsheet. Or even if they see it, there's no easy way to convert it to the correct units. The other problem is that because a lot of the goals aren't run/swim/bike, they don't get listed on the logs. For example, if your goal is to do 1000 situps, it doesn't show up like that on the log. So it's a lot more complex to report than it was last month. I hadn't anticipated that when I came up with the challenge idea. But I'm thinking that if I can put the spreadsheets on google, then everyone can update their own info. And they should (hopefully) know what to put down. Oh Dee, I wasn't trying to give YOU a hard time. I only meant that people who cannot properly track their own information shouldn't be allowed to do a challenge. Last month, I actually got a pm from someone giving me a hard time for not including a run they had completed but not logged. What I am, a mindreader, sheesh...... You were a fabulous team leader too! Thats why I kept saying to people not to worry too much about the interim results because lets be realistic... because at the end of the month is the only time it really matters! |

Champion 26509 Sydney | Subject: RE: They Who Shall Not Be Named (Twisnibbins) III D001 - 2007-11-17 1:29 PM Thanks for testing that spreadsheet out! Yes, I do think that someone will accidently mess something up. But.... I'm hoping that if I keep daily backups, worst case, we'll have to throw out just one day of info. (I might back up multiple times on Sunday, when everyone is doing their updates.) 5 for Fighting has been doing their own updates, and it's working out well. As long as you re,member not all of us are technically capable of anything I think its a fabulous idea Dee... and will take the pressure off you
OK I really am going to go shopping now... its almost 2pm! Edited by kaqphin 2007-11-16 8:46 PM |

No kidding...I'm sorry about the hassle you're getting on this Dee (and I have a feeling some of it is coming from my team, where I quite happily tried to gather the info myself where I could). But, y'know what - it'll all come out in the wash...by the end of November, everything will be what it should be. Cat - you did an awesome job and Dee - you're doing awesome. Now, me, on the other hand...someone told me that occasionally drinking pure/organic unsweetened cranberry juice was good for me. I'm trying to choke down a glass and wondering why I ever thought this was a good idea. Me - I'm not doing awesome. YUCK! Kristen |

I should have stuck to trainer miles and saved you the aggravation! LMAO!!

I haven't even attempted to catch up on the FIVE pages that have been added since I last played on BT. All I know was that I was just greeted with a myriad of mooning smilies. Can't go wrong with that. Disclaimer: It is possibe that two BT'ers made me drink a lot of margaritas tonight. Anything I say that could possibly be used against me on this BT thread should be ignored. |
