I'm in for 15,000 yards. Since I love to swim, this is awesome...although I really don't need an incentive to hop in and grind out the laps. Still these challenges are a blast.

I'll take any team, although try not to throw me in with the crazies from that prolific they who shall not be named mayhem...I don't log on often enough to keep up with them! I have training to do after all!

What, you can't swim and talk to crazies at the same time?  hehehe.  It gets easier after awhile....

Okay Cat, I'm in for 360 minutes or 6 hours, however you prefer to track them.  I don't care where you put me, crazies or not.  I'll earn my fins by the end of December!

Can I jump in.  If so, put me down for 20,000.

I have not read throught the 7 pages in this thread.  How are the teams being made ? Is it guys against the girls again.  If not , place me wherever you need to.  But for the record I am a guy, living in eastern part of Canada and will swim for free beer.

Sappho96,

I have you tagged as a captain.

On that front, we're at 69 people so far and wouldn't doubt that we may reach 100.  So additional volunteers for captain's are wanted, check that, needed!

All you will need to do is log up you teams weekly totals in a team spreadsheet (I'll set up the team spreadsheets with hyperlinks to each team members log, example attached) and post it on Mondays to the Captains thread (unless I get time to look at the Google deal).  We'll keep team sizing reasonable at about 10 or so, it doesn't take but 5-10 minutes to update the team spreadsheet once you get the hang of it.

Well, after my dr's appt today I have a nix on riding my bike for the next month, so I'll up my swim goal to 35,000 yards.  (An unimaginable distance to me two years ago when I could barely struggle through 1 length of the pool!)

Is it just me or does anyone else hate swimming when it is so darn cold outside.  It puts my mind out of the mood....even though it is an indoor pool.....I cant stand the idea of getting all wet and cold!  Maybe it stems back to school when we had swim team practice and afterwards we would be so tired and walk out of the YMCA all wet and cold.

Not sure if I will have time for swimming this month........this is my season at the toystore so am hoping I am really busy!

I love going to the pool in colder weather because chances are it'll be quieter and I'll have no elbows or feet in my bloody face

I go to my community pool now in the evening and I have yet to run into anyone for the last couple of months. Life is good.
