Good thing you get along with her.... any idea what she thinks?
Well, considering I'm not the first staff member to have a run in with him....she's likely listening to me... As well, her and I have been a same committee more than once. She knows that I'm not a lazy a** and that I know my stuff. In my rage I kind of missed something I think... but she said something along the lines that "You're one of the most seasoned coordinators in the system" and something about how admin likes my work.... Bottomline.... HER boss is the one that hired me years ago.... pretty much everybody above my boss likes me.... and b/c of the amount of commitment I have to the DIVISION and not just my facility..... my job security is pretty damn good.... hmmm oh well at least you can sit down and get some speicifcs from your boss about exaclty WHAT his problem is (probably not in those words) and the address the issues one by one so he feels more comfortable. On trick that works really well (at least for me with difficult people) is to first ask for whats bothering them... then ask them if all that went away what the end result would look like... Might stop him focusing on the little details and see the big picture... in other words if one thing was: - Every event got an x% turnout and particpation rate: then it really doenst matter how you go about it as long as he gets that end result...basically encouraging him to be hands off rather than on!
Then again Im still a puppy and maybe am just talking out of turn!!
