Oh yeah!

Today is my 1 year anniversary for quitting Diet Coke (and all sodas).

Congrats.  I've seen how hard that can be for folks.

Good workSo wish I had a boddington tree.So don't want to run tonight but I should

I need to do something to get rid of my work frustration.  May end up on the dreadmill.  I used to just have a vicious lower body strength training session.  Kinda counter productive now.

That's great.   It is hard to do and somehow get your body used to the lack of sugar/caffeine energy.

I need to quit red bull . . .

I'm shocked that otherwise well meaning, intelligent, healthy people drink that stuff...

Stim junkies.  I prefer caffeine pills and coffee instead of Red Bull.

Then I guess it would shock you even more that I use a NOS powershot on the morning before long runs to flush my system . . . I unfortunately don't have nutrition down to a science to the point that without I would find myself on the side of the road for a bathroom . . . I don't drink coffee or tea

It has it's place, when added to vodka and las Vegas, can make for a good weekendLong ride tomorrow... 60ish miles around mart has vineyard, plan on stopping for my 40 mile chocolate Croissant at the orange peel bakery, they have a beehive wood fired oven, soooooo yummy. Makes the last 20 miles much nicer. I may stop at mile 20 at another great bakery, too much good food out here... Downed a couple dozen clams and 2 IPAs for dinner and a little chocolate ice cream.Night night!

I can't stomach it at all anymore.  When I was 20 and living in London I had a very long night out with 6 or 7 red bull and double vodkas.  Haven't touched the stuff since.

Good day for Team Sky and Boassen Hagen yesterday, although if the race was 10 meters longer I think Matty Goss would have pulled off the win.  Today should be another good stage for the sprinters, although the weather looks pretty crappy.  Châteauroux (today's finish) is where Cav won his first TdF stage in 2008 in similar weather conditions.

Here's the profile:

Okay so watched the Tour yesterday. More entertaining than I expected. British announcers make it feel golfish. So I'm hooked. Have to say it really looks fun but riding in packs that large makes me jumpy. Picked up riding again for tris so large group riding is totally foreign to me.Long run time. Be back in a few hours

So I know I can't afford a red bull this am considering the run tomorrow and the temps . . . . but I am definitely struggling without my caffeine!!!

Its early, and no one is here yet, maybe a short nap at my desk???

Kinda depends on what you add to your coffee.  I keep creeping closer to black for health not taste reasons.

13.9 this morning.  Out of curiosity weighed myself before I left the Y and right before I showered.  167.5 down to 161.7.  WOW.

You need to bring more fluids with you on the run.

Do you use a fuel belt?

No, but I figured this was what I needed to do.  Have a basic fuel belt I bought when I first started for my number but no flasks.  I took a bike bottle and got through the original and 2 refills.

    Oh and yeah.  Same scale.

Minus the organic I'm there with ya.

Just got the final participant list for the sprint I'm in on 8/7.  One, I see a lot of the elites in the area so it's gonna be a fast race.  Two there are 120 people in my AG.  That's a lot of folks.

This place is hopping again today!  I don't have time to read everything, but I saw the weight loss after a long run - WOW!  I lose a lot too.  I probably don't drink enough, but I'd have to pull a red wagon behind me to replenish all I sweat out!  I try to do a course that has gas stations along the way, easier to do biking though.

So, I woke up this morning feeling like crap!  Literally!  I thought I have the flu, but who gets the flu in the middle of the summer?  So now wondering if it's food poisoning.  Or, my latest thought was I swam early yesterday morning at the gym outdoor pool.  What if there was an "incident" the day before?  How long does a big pool take to filter out kids mishaps?  I want to crawl in a hole and die right now!

This is what I use.  For long runs I stash a cooler and re-fill the bottles every 3 or 4 miles.

Nah, just don't want to drop the extra $$$ for organic.  My kids already go through 2 gallons of 1% a week on their own.  My milk expenditure is almost 15-20% of my weekly grocery bill.
