All this chatting is forcing me to NOT work.  Ughhhhh. Cool

I really need to get a fuel belt as well, now that I am approaching 8+ miles.  I tried carrying a small water bottle.  Pain in the A$$.

Kelly, I see the Sprint sign while watching the TdF, as  green "S".  Same thing on your map you posted.  But I often see the fork and spoon.  Now I know they don't stop to eat.  What does that stand for?

The fork and spoon is trhe feed area wjhere the riders pick up their musettes! Small shoulder bags with their nutrition in it. They eat like Ironman athletes do, on the fly.

Or, my latest thought was I swam early yesterday morning at the gym outdoor pool.  What if there was an "incident" the day before?  How long does a big pool take to filter out kids mishaps?  I want to crawl in a hole and die right now!

So highly unlikely to even be a consideration. Pee or even poop in a pool with chlorine is not likely to make you feel like you have the flu.

Shame, it would be a FAR better alterntaive.

Kinda depends on what you add to your coffee.  I keep creeping closer to black for health not taste reasonsp

Organic skim milk and Stevia extract, can't think of anything better.

Minus the organic I'm there with ya

Are you lactose intolerent?

Nah, just don't want to drop the extra $$$ for organic.  My kids already go through 2 gallons of 1% a week on their own.  My milk expenditure is almost 15-20% of my weekly grocery bill.

With 4 kids and a cereal eating husband, we go through 3 gallons of 2% and 1 gallon of whole milk (for the 15 month old).  I drink unsweetened almond milk.  That's a lot of milk!!!!!!!!  $$$$$

edited to add that last week's fruits were: 12 bananas, 2 bags of grapes, 10 peaches, 2 containers of strawberries, 2 containers of blueberries, 1 melon, and 1 watermelon.

My cold has moved into my chest and now I have a cough.  Grr.  I have an easy spin this afternoon, and then I need to do some bike cleaning.  Tomorrow a.m. I am going to swim easy, then it's a race on Sunday.  Woohoo!  Hope I feel better by Sunday morning.

We go through 2-3 gallons of milk a week... Kids are absurdly expensive in all regards. We get the organic stuff but at $6 per gallon it make gas look cheapKelly - can't wait till you have kids, it will be a riot

Found my daughter trying use the treadmill last night.  Asked her why and it's because she wants to race with me.  Made me smile.  She said she needs to learn how to swim so I should teach her.  I told her we need to find someone who knows what they're doing for that.

They are 6, 4, 2, and 15 months.  Popped out 4 babies in 5 years.  LOL  I think it's been good for them to see me doing something for me.  I try to include them whenever possible, too.  Only downside is that my house has fallen apart.  With training and running the kids around, I have dustballs the size of tumbleweeds rolling around in my house.  My bathroom looks like it belongs in a frat house.

How old are your LOs?

I use this same belt, but with 4 bottles.  For those wondering the revenge series much better than the original series - bottles are much easier to move in and out.

I only fill 2 bottles for the start, then have the other 2 bottles ready with gatorade endurance powder in them to fill with water.  Then for the rest of the run, I determined last week to use hammer perpertium solid bottles (or nuun bottles) and I store extra powder in there to refill when ready (I mark the bottles for fuel belt bottle amounts).  Cuts down on the weight, but I still get my electrolyte drink throughout the run.

I am fortunate as my 18 miler will be aid stations every 2-3 miles, so I never really need to worrry about carrying too much.

Yeh, on that subject, I am amazed they can pee while riding (some of them anyway), but do these guys every stop for for #2?  Or is their diet such that it is out of the way before they start?

And why don't these guys pee on their bike like IM's do?  Is it cuz its not a big deal to stop off or peeing on themselves every day will create problems?
