Found out that my request to upgrade to CAT 4 got approved!

I don't think I know who Carlton Kirby is, but Phil and Paul are a good duo.  They certainly have some funny moments.  Plus when DH and I watch the TdF, the annual tradition is to closely to catch the first time "massive" is said and how often they say that and "dancing on the pedals".  It'll be a sad, sad day when one or the other retires.

Is there any further PPA info? If our name is on the confirmation list we are good to go, right? I'm approaching my last day to change my ticket or not.

I like "cat amongst the pigeons" and when they completely destroy geographical names in the US. During the Pro Challenge they struggled with Salida and Buena Vista

As in the last American woman to win the Boston Marathon.  She is a coach in Colorado Springs and coaches people for the PPA (and other stuff). I talked to her before my marathon so we just need to touch base and figure out when to get started. I told her about what trails and mountains I have here to work with.

lol yeah, I knew the first part. Was wondering what you meant by her involvement in your ppa.

Popping in with a Dad update - he's in the hospital and has been since Saturday evening/night.  He's improved since then, but will need to stay in the hospital for a few days yet, I imagine.  The next step isn't set in stone yet, but he likely won't be returning to his home and will need to be in a care facility.  As of now he wants to continue treatment, although there is the theory (by one of the multitude of docs that saw him over the past few days) that his severe pain he was/is experiencing was because of tumor flare from the cancer freaking out about the medicine trying to kill it.  I'm not sure if any doctors shared that info with him now that he is coherent again.  I'll put it on my to do list for tonight's visit.

Agreed!  I kinda feel like with Paul and Phil in California, Giro got a second or third string announcer (Sean Kelly is excellent, on par with our dynamic duo).
