Don't worry Beth, I'm still here (and at work) if you don't mind hangin' out with a 33 yr old "kid"

Wow, was there actually training talk here today?  Sounds like some great advice that I might have to print out and save, given I haven't a clue what proper form is.  As I mentioned in my intro way back when I grew up ON the water not IN the water.

As much as I love sweets, you guys are killing me with all the pic's.  German Choc cake (my fav as well), oatmeal pies, and I'm STILL thinking about those MOON PIES pages back.  I'm so close to losing a pound this week, DON"T MAKE ME CAVE!!!!!!!

Looks like my weekend is going to be a crazy one.  Hoping I can get a workout in tomorrow while at work, otherwise I won't be working out again til Monday.  R-Ball tourney all day tomorrow til 8pm, Church sunday, niece to airport Sunday, wedding and reception Sunday night.  My family just might like it if I was to actually go grocery shopping sometime this weekend, too.  At least I already bought the wedding gift.

At least the wedding will have alcohol, and maybe hubby and I can claim it as a date night, haven't ahd one of those since August.

I need to pick up a new amp as I really can play some serious shreddin' guitar. I've thought about organizing the Sacramento Shred Fest - S-cubed, so it were - with a 10K fun run and lots of fast, fast guitarists trying to kill each other off the stage

Looky, looky! A going away present! Thanks! Y'all have a great night!

Okay, so I'm really bored while I'm sitting here at work, and here's what I've figured out...

If the average post takes up 4inches and there are 30 posts per page, each page will be 120 inches, or ten feet.  5,280 feet in a mile... If we reach 528 pages by the end of the month, will  have collectively "typed" a mile.

That's what happens when you work too many 14 hour days in a row.

I'm a recreation coordinator for the county (which has nothing to do with my Master's in Exercise Phys)  I manage everything from the fitness room and personal trainers (okay a little related to my degree) to youth sports, adult and yth racquetball, community health fairs, to (believe it or not) even the vending machine.  Basically, I work in a community fitness and recreation center.

I know, never an excuse for me to not workout.

Yeah, working for the government is great sometimes, but sucks others.  I'm greatful with my position, as long as my works done and my programs are covered, I'm off.  And it's great having days like Columbus and Veteren"s off.  But the red tape is a whole different story sometimes.  I have to have my vendor split invoices so they don't go over a certain amount, can't work over 60 hours comp time, I'm sure you have similar issues.

I spent the better part of 2 days on the phone this week trying to sort out air quality conformity issues for a 1/2 mile long project in Tulare County... a small project that affects ozone and particulate matter pollution calculations for a 37,000 square mile area.

The grass is never greener on the other side.  UGH!

Well, time to set up for the tourney. Players are arriving.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Thanks Sparko, Stretching has really become such a major part of my training. More so then i ever thought it would be, so thanks for the additional info.

OK.... As someone who doesn't stretch at all....

Why stretch?

Does it help with post workout soreness? (That's the only thing I can think of. So maybe I've never worked out hard enough to need to do this. LOL)

D001 - 2007-11-09 12:19 PM Just left an inspire in Hector's log. (Had to wish him luck this weekend.) Hector -- if you do well this weekend, maybe Beth will post another pic! Actually, since I'm thinking of that cheerleader-gone-wrong..... Beth - if Hector does well this weekend, will you show him your pom poms? (It's so much fun to say things like this when she's not here. If I'm lucky, I'll be offline when she gets back, too. 'Cause you know what they say about payback....)

My pom poms???? LOLOL

oh Dee, you are in trouble now!

Hahahahaha!

I've just changed my signature line....
