mr2tony - 2007-09-27 4:33 PM Scout's getting curmudgeony about his running. And Ryan's lack of running. Scout I set out to run 12 miles yesterday and decided after 3 to turn around because I wasn't feelin' it.

I'm just having an off week, and the lack of running isn't helping much.

You made a wise decision.  I've done that.  I've found that it's better to start off, and cut it short, than to bag the whole run.  Heck, I've had moments where I wasn't up for running, but once I got out the door, it was great.  I've had moments where I felt awesome starting out, and started to lose it early on, and decided to bag it at that point.  Discretion is the better part of valor.

As for Ryan's running, I give the boy credit for at least getting out there.  It's better than most.

This is the second time I've....said something positive regarding you.

Don't get cocky.  You're still a loooooooong way.

Usually, when I don't feel like running, I'll go anyway. Most of the time I feel better by mile 2 or 3 and then fly from there. Not yesterday. It just got worse and worse and worse so I turned around.

Yes. I too give Ryan (and pretty much anybody else) credit for running -- anywhere. Even if it's on a treadmill. Blech.

Like I said, sounds like a smart decision.

Ryan, there's a good one in Lehigh in September.  Good beginner's marathon.  You've got just under a year.

Morning, all.

Go Phillies.

I see there's a run challenge for OCT.  I must be bored, because I signed up.  But really, running?  That's not really my thing, ya know?  It's gonna be hard for me to do this, but that's why they call it a challenge, right?

So, Ryan is going to start running... again!

caught up on the conversation yesterday before I went to go drink beer.

Running challenge, Scout?  Really?  You?  Who wudda thunk it?

I know, so unlike me.  Like I said, they don't call it a "challenge" for nothing.

So... 169 ended up being the best price I could find yesterday on the Garmin Forerunner 305.  When ahead and ordered it.  I love new toys!!!
