triguynewbie - 2008-10-30 9:16 PM I own a construction company. I am trying to convince my accountant to let my company "sponsor" me and buy me a new bike. She isn't going for it.

Obviously you need a new accountant. You could hire me and I'll get both of us sponsored.

Will he have to wear a tiara?

If she gets me a new dream bike I will have Giro make me a Tiara bike helmet to go with it.

QueenZipp - 2008-10-31 11:55 AM I got an idea for tomorrow. We get to dress up. I figure since I can't wear my tri suit or bike shorts all day I'd dress up my cube as a transition area. Hang up the wetsuit in one corner with my goggles and transition towel and all set up near it. I think it's funny but my daughter wants to slap me up side the head.

Well I guess its a matter of will anyone else get it.... whats wrong with wearing a trisuit all day? And a Helmet, wrap around sunnies, sneakers and of course a race number just for full effect

A litle thing about dress code and spandex in the office

Hmmm whats the dress code? (i know I can find a way)

It's pretty casual..except it is specific about no spandex or spagheti straps ...no pajamas....
Not even on Halloween?

Umm, I asked how lax it would be, didn't get a clear answer and I don't want to push the limits too much.  I'd hate to be the reason others lost the fun.

Ok that seems reasonable... what about going a but nuts and being 'a triathlete at a party' or a 'triathlete model' or  the 'transition fairy'

Chose a plain base - anything from a black dress to jeans and plain t shirt and make it all about the accesories... helmet, goggles, race number etc... if you go with the fairy idea you could make a wand and wings but wear sneakers...

Im picturing right now someone with a black dress, sneakers (so dont go together), goggles on their forehead and either a helmet or cap, race number and sharpied up with wings and a wand...

transition area....change shoes periodically...change hats/helmets...yeah, this is good stuff.

And carry a water bottle with you at all time... stretch in the middle of the corridor

Business will have to pick up. I made the mistake of riding a new bike at the bike shop the other day and now I just dream about it.

I was just looking at some hot Italians while picking my bike up last night... I dont even need a test ride to get interested...

I would be fine with just a TT bike. We dont have anywhere near me to ride a track bike and I ride my TT bike now on group and long rides and do just fine with it. So I would just bling my TT bike out as much as possible and be oh so happy.

I also really want to try track and I know once i have a go Im going to want a bike... although yuo can get an entry level track bike for about $700 so thats not too bad...

Maybe I get a gooood roadie, a basic TT and a basic track bike... Im not sure!

I would be fine with just a TT bike. We dont have anywhere near me to ride a track bike and I ride my TT bike now on group and long rides and do just fine with it. So I would just bling my TT bike out as much as possible and be oh so happy.

Funny... I just wrote a poem that mentions blinging out my bike... actually, the lack thereof.  No.  Seriously.  I did.

Still getting to know everyone here but I am getting the sense that you like your bike/bikes/riding bikes/pictures of your bikes/tiaras/bikes that wear tiaras. What else am I missing?
